Emergency Return System - the key L-350R2 upgrade
The Emergency Return System is the defining addition of the L-350R2 over the standard L-350. In normal operation, the 2-button hand controller raises and lowers the seat. If the handset or control box malfunctions while the user is in the lowered position in the water - a scenario where the user cannot exit the pool without the lift and cannot operate the normal controls - the Emergency Return System connects the power source directly to the actuator, bypassing the handset and control box entirely. The lift raises to the full up position, returning the user to the pool deck regardless of handset or control box condition. For any installation where a single user will use the lift without a poolside attendant present, the Emergency Return System provides an independent backup path to safety that the standard L-325 and L-350 do not have. This safety feature alone distinguishes the L-350R2 as the more appropriate choice for solo residential use or unattended commercial installations.
Marine Grade 316 stainless steel hardware
The L-350R2 specifies Marine Grade 316 stainless steel hardware throughout. Grade 316 stainless steel contains molybdenum, which significantly improves its resistance to chloride corrosion compared to standard marine grade or 304 stainless. Fixed anchor installation - commercial-ready design
The L-350R2 Owner's Manual covers fixed anchor installation only - distinct from the L-325 and L-350 which also document new construction sleeve and drop-in anchor procedures. The L-350R2 is available with or without anchor and is compatible with both the drop-in anchor (GLCQDIA) and 4-point anchor (GLCQPA) systems available from Global Pool Products. The fixed anchor approach is standard in commercial pool facilities where the lift has a permanent dedicated installation position. For residential installations, confirm the anchor configuration with the dealer before ordering. Field reversibility is retained: the seat converts from right to left position using the included Reversible Instructions without factory service.

If the handset or control box fails while the user is in the water, the Emergency Return System connects power directly to the actuator, bypassing all normal control electronics and raising the lift to the full up position automatically. 2-button operation - simple independent control
The L-350R2 uses the same straightforward 2-button raise/lower controller as the L-325 and L-350. Down arrow lowers, up arrow raises. The user can stop at any comfortable point in the lower cycle to exit into the pool; completing the full raise cycle back to the top is recommended when exiting the pool for the safest exit position. Perform a test run empty before first manned use to confirm the full raise/lower arc is clear of all pool edge obstacles.
Field reversible - right or left seat
The L-350R2 ships right seat as standard and converts to left seat in the field using the included Reversible Instructions - no factory service required. The correct seat orientation depends on the pool deck layout and the user's transfer direction preference. Field reversibility means the orientation can be confirmed and adjusted on installation day after the anchor position is set and the deck geometry is assessed, without needing to return the lift or order a different configuration.

The differences are: L-325 has 325 lb capacity, no Emergency Return System, standard marine grade hardware. L-350 has 350 lb capacity, no Emergency Return System, standard marine grade hardware. Choose the L-350R2 for solo or unattended use where the Emergency Return System safety backup is required, or for installations where 316 stainless hardware longevity is a priority. Warranty

The Global Pool Products L-350R2 carries a 5-year warranty on the structural frame covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
The actuator and controls carry a 5-year pro-rated warranty from the date of purchase. The pro-rated schedule means the warranty value decreases proportionally over the 5-year period. See the Warranty Information document above for the full pro-rated schedule and claim procedure.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, misuse, use beyond the stated 350 lb weight capacity, failure to follow the maintenance schedule in the Owner's Manual, or normal wear items.
