What the window actually does for the experience
Barrel saunas are intimate by nature the curved walls wrap around you, the heat envelops you, and the outside world disappears. That intimacy is part of the appeal. But for a lot of people, the feeling of being enclosed is what makes them cut sessions short. The rear window solves this without sacrificing any of the sauna's thermal performance. The half-moon shape is wide enough to frame a real view trees, a garden, a pool, a mountain range and the tempered bronze glass manages heat retention far better than you might expect. The Thermo-Aspen benches run 1.1 inches thick and 3.5 inches wide close to 50% thicker than what most barrel competitors use and the arched backrest provides actual lumbar support for any body type. Nordic wood that goes the distance outside
Both the barrel staves and the rear window frame are built to handle whatever outdoor conditions throw at them. The 1.65-inch Thermo-Spruce staves are thermally treated under pressurized heat and steam no chemicals, no coatings which makes the wood denser, more dimensionally stable, and naturally resistant to moisture and decay. It outlasts cedar two to one outdoors. The window itself is tempered bronze glass set into the barrel end cap, sealed against rain and condensation. Heavy-duty stainless steel barrel bands hold the full structure together through years of heating and cooling without loosening or shifting.
