The SaunaLife Model G2 is the Garden Series' most accessible entry point a four-person outdoor sauna kit built from the same 1.65" Nordic Spruce interlocking-beam construction as larger models in the range, with grade-A Aspen benches, a dimmable LED lighting system, and an 8mm tempered glass door, all at a price point that makes a quality backyard sauna genuinely achievable. It is designed by SaunaLife and handcrafted in Northern Europe, and it will outlast anything built from lesser materials at this price.
1.65" Nordic Spruce the interlocking V-joint difference
The G2's exterior is built from full-length Nordic Spruce staves at 1.65" thick, connected with precision interlocking V-joints that create a remarkably tight, rigid structure. Spruce is the most historically common wood in Finnish sauna construction the birthplace of the sauna tradition chosen for its strength, workability, and ability to handle the thermal cycling of outdoor sauna use over decades. The interlocking-beam system allows the wood to naturally expand and contract with temperature and humidity changes while maintaining a perfect fit at every joint. The G2 is the most authentically Scandinavian construction method in the Garden Series. Note: the spruce exterior benefits from periodic application of an outdoor stain or UV-protective paint to preserve its natural appearance over time.
A slanted EPDM roof that handles real weather
The G2 uses a slanted shed-style roof with a premium self-adhesive EPDM waterproofing membrane a single-ply rubber roofing system used on commercial and residential flat roofs that is extremely durable, flexible in cold temperatures, and resistant to UV radiation and ozone. The roof slopes from the front wall at 86.4" down to the rear wall at 75.5", shedding water cleanly and creating a generous interior ceiling height at the front of the cabin where bathers sit. The full floor and foundation beams are included and keep the cabin stable and moisture-free at ground level.
Grade-A Aspen benches and backrests hand-selected, knot-free
Inside, the upper and lower benches are made from 1.1" thick grade-A Aspen hand-selected for smoothness and completely knot-free. Aspen is a light-coloured hardwood that stays cool at sauna temperatures, resists the darkening and discoloration that affects other bench woods over time, and develops a smooth, satiny surface that becomes more comfortable with every session. The matching 1" Aspen backrest supports the lower back without any rough edges or hot spots. The L-shaped bench layout seats four people comfortably, and the cabin is also large enough to accommodate a single bather lying down for a full reclining session.
LED lighting system included, Wi-Fi controlled
Unlike some competing kits at this price, the G2's LED lighting system is included in the kit — not an optional add-on. The white LED light bar installs behind the backrest, providing dotless indirect illumination that enhances the natural grain of the Aspen interior without any harsh spotlighting. The system is controllable via Wi-Fi app or the included IP-rated wireless handheld remote with wall-mount cradle. A 90W power supply, driver, 30ft weatherproof light cable, and both flush and articulating mounting clips are all included. A separate 120V circuit is required for the lighting independent from the heater circuit.
Electric or wood-fired your choice
The G2 is sized to accommodate either a 6kW electric sauna heater or a wood-fired sauna stove the only model in the Garden Series entry range that gives you this choice. A heater safety guard is included in the kit regardless of which heat source you choose. Both heater options are sold separately. For electric, a 240V hardwired connection with a dedicated breaker is required. For wood-fired, the porch area provides a practical spot to keep a small supply of firewood covered and dry. Assembly takes two people approximately two days with basic tools.

Lifetime structural warranty
Every SaunaLife G2 is covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the cabin structure and all non-electrical components under normal residential use. SaunaLife warrants that the sauna shall be free from defects in workmanship for the lifetime of the sauna for residential applications after delivery to the original purchaser. If a factory defect appears at any point, SaunaLife will repair or replace the affected components at no cost. The warranty does not cover normal material weathering, cosmetic changes due to natural aging of the lumber, or sauna heaters, LED systems, and accessories these are covered separately by their respective manufacturers. Proof of purchase from an authorized dealer is required for all warranty claims. We are an authorized SaunaLife dealer.
