The KIP80W covers the largest room range in the KIP W-series: 250 to 425 cubic feet. This is the range of large 4 to 6-person home sauna rooms and rooms where tile, glass, or concrete surfaces substantially increase the adjusted cubic foot calculation above the nominal room volume. At 8kW on a 40A circuit it holds these rooms at temperature efficiently without running at continuous full load. For buyers who have confirmed their sauna room exceeds the 300 cubic foot coverage of the KIP60W PKG, the KIP80W PKG is the step up within the stainless steel WiFi range. The Xenio WiFi control included in this package delivers precise degree-by-degree digital temperature control, programmable scheduling, and full remote operation via the MyHarvia app on iOS and Android. Google Home and Amazon Alexa integration enables voice-activated sauna control. For an 8kW heater on a 40A circuit that takes longer to preheat a large room to temperature, the remote preheat capability of the Xenio WiFi is particularly practical - the sauna can be started from anywhere and will be at temperature when it is needed. Polished stainless steel - dual-wall, mounts to wood, cool exterior
The KIP80W uses the same dual-wall stainless steel construction as the entire KIP W-series. The air gap between the inner heating chamber and the outer polished surface keeps the exterior cool to the touch during operation, allowing direct mounting on a wooden sauna wall without a protective backing panel. The 44-lb stone cavity holds AC3000 stones in direct contact with the heating elements for even heat-up and effective loyly steam. A protective stone guard is included. The polished stainless finish suits light cedar, spruce, aspen, and any sauna interior where a warm metallic surface complements rather than contrasts with the wood tones.

Choosing the right KIP W package
KIP45W, KIP60W, or KIP80W - room size determines the choice
All three KIP W packages share the same polished stainless steel finish, Xenio WiFi control, dual-wall construction, and stone capacity. The difference is output and room coverage. KIP45W (4.5kW): 100-210 cu ft, 20A breaker, 10 AWG. KIP60W (6kW): 170-300 cu ft, 30A breaker, 10 AWG. KIP80W (8kW): 250-425 cu ft, 40A breaker, 8 AWG. Calculate the adjusted cubic footage of the sauna room accounting for cold surfaces, then select the model whose range covers it. If the room is between 250 and 300 cu ft, either the KIP60W or KIP80W covers it - the KIP80W provides more headroom for rooms with significant glass, tile, or concrete cold surfaces.
A standard 2-pole 40A breaker and 8 AWG wire are required for the KIP80W. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used. The Xenio WiFi control installs in a dry area; the heater mounts on the wall inside the sauna.

Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia KIP80W is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers the heater and all included components - heating elements, Xenio WiFi control, and stones - against defects in manufacturing and materials. Heating elements are covered on first use only and are thereafter considered consumable parts. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole required), incorrect or insufficient stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), essential oils are poured directly on stones or elements, or the heater is improperly installed.
