Every conventional heater - the KIP series, The Wall, the Spirit, the Virta - heats the air adjacent to the elements and relies on convection to distribute it, which creates predictable temperature stratification: very hot near the ceiling, much cooler near the floor, and reduced oxygen concentration in the upper zone where heat has displaced it. The Saunum Air L's integrated fan draws cooler, oxygen-rich air from the floor level, blends it inside the climate equalizer with hot air from the ceiling zone, and distributes the mixed airstream evenly throughout the room. The result is a sauna environment where temperature variation from floor to ceiling is substantially reduced - bathers at every level experience more consistent heat and better air quality. Choosing between the Saunum Air L 10 and Air L 15
Both models share the same patented climate equalizer, Himalayan salt reservoir, 190-lb stone capacity, stainless steel finish, and six sauna bathing styles. The Air L 10 (10kW) covers 283-494 cu ft on a 50A breaker with 6 AWG wire and requires only the AirIQ WiFi control. The Air L 15 (15kW) covers 530-812 cu ft on an 80A breaker with 4 AWG wire and requires both the AirIQ WiFi control and a separate contactor box. If the adjusted room volume is under 494 cubic feet, the Air L 10 is the correct choice - simpler electrical installation, lower ongoing cost, no contactor box. If the room exceeds 494 cubic feet, the Air L 15 is required. Use the Saunum heater calculator to confirm the adjusted room volume before ordering.

Saunum limited warranty
The Saunum Air L 15 is covered by Saunum's limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, use without the required stone quantity, failure to install the required contactor box for 15kW operation, or failure to follow Saunum's installation guidelines.
