In a conventional sauna, heat stratifies predictably: the heating elements warm the adjacent air, hot air rises to the ceiling, and the floor and lower bench level remain significantly cooler. The Saunum Air L's integrated fan draws cool, oxygen-rich air from the floor of the sauna room, blends it inside the climate equalizer with hot air from the ceiling zone, and distributes the mixed airstream evenly throughout the room. Air L 10 Black vs Air L 10 SS - finish choice, different stone capacity
The black Air L 10 and the stainless steel Air L 10 SS are the same heater with one technical difference and one aesthetic difference. Stone capacity: the black model holds 180 lbs (6 boxes) and the SS model holds 190 lbs (6 boxes) - a minor difference. Finish: the black model suits dark and contemporary sauna interiors; the SS model suits lighter natural wood tones where a polished reflective surface complements the room. Both cover 283-494 cu ft, use a 50A breaker and 6 AWG wire, include 7 salt spheres, and require the AirIQ WiFi control sold separately. If the sauna interior is not yet decided, confirm the primary wood tone and hardware before choosing between the two.
A standard 2-pole 50A breaker and 6 AWG wire are required. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Stones (6 boxes, 180 lbs) are required and sold separately. A licensed electrician is required for all connections.

Saunum limited warranty
The Saunum Air L 10 is covered by Saunum's limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, use without the required stone quantity, or failure to follow Saunum's installation guidelines.
