The SaunaLife Model E8G sits at the top of the standard Ergo Series lineup the E8 body, the largest barrel in the range, combined with the G-series full-height glass front that is the most dramatic glazing treatment available on any SaunaLife barrel. Bronzed, full-height tempered glass sidelights run floor to ceiling on both sides of the matching glass door, replacing the entire front end cap with a continuous wall of glass. Six bathers. 78.5 inches of bench length. Every seat facing forward through glass. This is what the Ergo Series looks like when there is nothing left to add.
A full glass wall not a window, not a porthole
The distinction between the G-series and the W-series matters enormously and is worth being clear about. The W-series adds a half-moon window to the rear of the barrel bathers look backward over their shoulder to catch the view. The E8G does the opposite: it removes the entire front end cap and replaces it with full-height bronzed tempered glass sidelights flanking a matching glass door. Every bather is already facing forward when they sit down. The view is straight ahead from the first moment no angling, no rotating, no choosing a seat to be near the glass. Six people facing outward through a wall of bronze glass that stretches from the floor to the top of the barrel arc, catching light at every hour and glowing from within when the LED lighting is running at dusk.
Six-person comfort that earns the number
The E8G's 87-inch exterior length gives 78.5 inches of usable interior bench space enough for six adults to sit with genuine separation rather than shoulder-to-shoulder compression. The 81-inch diameter keeps the bench arc gentle, which allows the 17.8-inch-deep Thermo-Aspen benches to be properly contoured and form-fitting rather than fighting against the curve. At 1.1 inches thick and 3.5 inches wide, the bench tops and backrests are close to 50% thicker than what competing barrels typically use. The arched lumbar backrest provides real support for any body type at any session length. And at 6'5" interior height, every one of those six bathers can stand fully upright and walk in through the glass door without ducking. The glass makes the entrance dramatic. The barrel makes everyone comfortable.
87 inches of Thermo-Spruce built to last outside
The full-glass front is a statement, but the barrel behind it is engineered for decades of outdoor use without compromise. Every stave is 1.65 inches thick, full length, and cut from sustainably sourced Nordic Spruce that has been thermally treated under pressurized heat and steam no chemicals, no preservatives. The process densifies the wood cell structure, eliminates the sugars that fungi feed on, and makes the wood naturally resistant to moisture and decay in ways that untreated softwoods simply cannot match. It outlasts cedar two to one outdoors and requires no staining, sealing, or repainting over its lifetime. Heavy-duty stainless steel barrel bands 1-7/8 inches wide, 1/8 inch thick compress the entire 87-inch structure and hold it under constant tension through years of heating and cooling without loosening or shifting.
The pinnacle of the Ergo Series. The largest barrel SaunaLife makes in the standard lineup 87 inches long, 81-inch diameter, six-person capacity with a full-height bronze glass front wall that replaces the entire end cap with light, views, and one of the most striking visual statements available in an outdoor sauna.
