SaunaLife Model E6 Sauna Barrel - 3-Person - ERGO Series Sauna Barrel, 59"x81"
Most barrel saunas cut corners where it hurts most thin staves that lose heat fast, cramped seating that forces you to shift every few minutes, and benches that get hot enough to burn. The SaunaLife Model E6 was designed from the ground up to fix every one of those problems. It starts with a full 81-inch diameter significantly wider than the industry standard which makes every aspect of the experience better: higher ceilings, gentler seating arcs, and room for three adults to sit comfortably without crowding.
Ergonomics first, everything else second
SaunaLife calls this the Ergo Series for a reason. The barrel's large diameter allows for contoured, form-fitting benches and a genuinely arched backrest that provides real lumbar support not a flat plank angled against the wall. The seating is made from knotless Thermo-Aspen, a grade-A wood that stays cool to the touch regardless of how hot the session gets. At 1.1 inches thick and 3.5 inches wide, the benches and backrests are nearly 50% thicker than what you'll find in most competing barrels. Sessions that used to feel like endurance tests become something you want to stay in.
Wood that actually holds up outside
The entire exterior is built from 1.65-inch thick full-length Thermo-Spruce staves the same thermally treated Nordic wood used in Scandinavian outdoor construction. The heat treatment process makes the wood denser, more dimensionally stable, and naturally resistant to moisture and decay without any chemical preservatives. It outlasts cedar by a ratio of two to one in real outdoor conditions. The staves are held together by heavy-duty stainless steel barrel bands (1-7/8" wide, 1/8" thick) that compress the structure and keep everything tight through years of heating and cooling cycles.
Engineered to handle water, inside and out
Barrel saunas have a reputation for flooding after heavy use. The E6 is built to handle it. A black shingle roof kit with side-mounted drip edges keeps rain out completely. Inside, dual floor drains eliminate water fast one positioned under the heater for löyly sessions, and a second near the door for any water that comes in from a cold plunge or pool. The whole structure is designed to get wet and dry out without warping, swelling, or rotting.
A barrel sauna built the way Scandinavians actually build them generous diameter, thick Nordic wood, and ergonomic seating engineered for long, comfortable sessions. The E6 is the barrel sauna that finally gets the details right.

About SaunaLife
Built where sauna is a way of life.
SaunaLife was founded by a group of sauna enthusiasts who believed that a world-class outdoor sauna should not require a contractor, a massive budget, or any compromise on quality. To make it possible, they traveled to Northern Europe and partnered directly with Nordic craftsmen who build with the same thermally treated spruce used in Scandinavian outdoor structures.
The result is a product line that assembles in a single day, ships as a complete kit, and holds up for decades without special maintenance. Every barrel is covered by a lifetime structural warranty. If something fails due to a factory defect, SaunaLife repairs or replaces it no questions asked.
