The Proactive Medical Protekt Aire 8600AB is an advanced bariatric mattress system designed to provide pressure redistribution, support skin protection, and improve patient comfort. Combining Low Air Loss and Alternating Pressure therapies, it helps manage moisture, reduce pressure points, and maintain a cooler, drier patient environment. Its integrated raised side air bolsters and center cutout design provide additional patient support and make transfers easier. With a weight capacity of up to 750 lbs, it is suitable for bariatric patient care.

The mattress features a cell-on-cell construction designed to provide additional support and help prevent bottoming out during power failures. Powered by the Protekt Aire 8000 deluxe digital pump, it offers four adjustable alternating pressure cycles of 10, 15, 20, and 25 minutes. Additional operating modes include Static Mode for a stable support surface, Max Firm Mode for easier patient transfers, and Seat Inflate, which increases airflow to the central bladders by 20% for additional support. Its Low Air Loss technology and 18 laser-cut ventilation holes promote airflow to help manage moisture.

 

The mattress features durable Nylon/PU air cells designed to provide reliable support and patient comfort. Its breathable stretch nylon cover features a quilted construction with an integrated pillow-top design to help minimize unnecessary head and neck movement during alternating pressure therapy. The fluid-resistant, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and vapor-permeable cover helps maintain a comfortable and hygienic patient environment.

IBIS Wheelchair to Car Lift

The IBIS wheelchair to car lift was a game changer for us. My husband has been in a wheelchair for more than 40 years and we have never seen anything like this in the US and had no idea such a lift exist existed.

My guy is hemiplegic and usually able to stand pivot into the car but he broke his femur in November 2025 and had to be non-weight bearing for 3 months. He lost so much strength and ability that he could no longer do any kind of safe transfer.

Our friend found the IBIS wheelchair to car lift online and we decided to take the risk. It was worth every penny and more. Within a day of its arrival we were mobile and in and out of the car again. It is very manageable for me to operate and in our 60’s we are grateful for anything that lightens our load.

Everything arrived as advertised. Customer service was outstanding with clear communication. I was provided help to ensure my measurements were correct and was offered a few options to customize the sling. We had to get a new car right after we bought the lift and it was a good fit in the new car.
