HUUM Water/Heat Exchanger for HIVE Wood Sauna Stoves

The HUUM WaterEx (part number H3009032) is a water/heat exchanger for HUUM HIVE Wood sauna stoves. It lets you heat water while the wood is burning in the stove, using the heat that the stove makes anyway. It is made of 4 mm (0.2 in) steel with a heat-resistant paint coating, and it connects to a water tank with 3/4 in male-threaded pipes. You can mount it on the rear of the stove or on either side. The stove, water tank, piping, and stones are sold separately. Includes an installation and operation manual.

Hot water from the same fire

When you heat a sauna with a wood-burning stove, a lot of heat goes into the room and the stones. The WaterEx adds a steel water jacket to the stove so that part of that heat also warms the water in a connected tank. That gives you warm water for washing or for a bucket in the sauna, without a separate heat source. It is designed to hold up to the high temperatures of a wood-burning stove for years of use.

Check the fit before you order

The WaterEx is made for the HUUM HIVE Wood stoves. HUUM's dealer listings show it as an optional accessory for the HIVE Wood 13, HIVE Wood 17, and HIVE Wood 17 LS. The sources we checked do not confirm how it mounts on the 17 LS through-wall model or on the HIVE Flow, so please check with us before ordering one for those stoves. The exchanger is not for HUUM's electric heaters. You also need a water tank, pipes, and fittings, which are not included, and a qualified installer should connect it according to local code.

Installing the exchanger

HUUM says the exchanger attaches to the rear of the stove, or alternatively to one of the stove's lateral (side) faces. Pipes with 3/4 in (19.05 mm) male threads connect it to the water tank. HUUM's installation manual is available as a PDF, so follow it for the exact steps, the piping layout, and any safety rules for your stove. Installation of the stove itself must follow its own manual and local code.

IBIS Wheelchair to Car Lift

The IBIS wheelchair to car lift was a game changer for us. My husband has been in a wheelchair for more than 40 years and we have never seen anything like this in the US and had no idea such a lift exist existed.

My guy is hemiplegic and usually able to stand pivot into the car but he broke his femur in November 2025 and had to be non-weight bearing for 3 months. He lost so much strength and ability that he could no longer do any kind of safe transfer.
