HUUM Safety Rail for HIVE and HIVE Mini Series Sauna Heaters

The HUUM safety railing is made for the HUUM HIVE and HIVE Mini electric sauna heaters. It is made of light-colored wooden arcs on stainless steel supports, and it forms a ring around the heater to help prevent accidental contact with the hot heater. The supports attach to the heater. It also gives the heater a styled look that complements the sauna interior. HUUM recommends having a safety railing in every sauna. It comes in two sizes: the Rail H (part number H3003012) for the HIVE, with a 645 mm (25.4 in) diameter, and the Rail HM (part number H3002012) for the HIVE Mini, with a 545 mm (21.45 in) diameter. Choose the size that matches your heater. The heater, controller, and stones are sold separately. Includes an installation manual.

A guard around a hot heater

A sauna heater runs at a high temperature, and the heater body and stones are hot. The rail puts a wooden ring around the HIVE or HIVE Mini so that bathers do not brush against it by accident. The light wood matches the look of a sauna interior, and the stainless steel supports hold the rail in place. It is a contact guard only. It does not replace the clearances to walls, benches, and ceilings that the heater's own manual requires.

Choose the right size

The Rail H is made for the full-size HUUM HIVE heater, which is sold in 12, 15 and 18 kW sizes according to our dealer sources. The Rail HM is made for the HIVE Mini, which is sold in 6, 9 and 10.5 kW sizes. The two rails have different diameters and are not interchangeable. The CLIFF, DROP, and STEEL heaters each have their own rail, too, so match the rail to your heater model before ordering. The sources we checked do not mention the HIVE LS models, so please check with us before ordering a rail for one. Plan the space around the heater for the diameter of the railing you choose.

Installing and caring for the rail

According to HUUM's installation manual: screw the wooden arches to the outer pieces of the supports. Fit the inner support pieces to the heater, in the gap between the upper wire and the wire below it. Then place each inner and outer support piece face to face and join them with a bolt and nut. HUUM's product page also describes the railing as mounting to the wall, so check the manual for your layout. The manual also says to treat all wooden parts with a heat-resistant, non-toxic wood preservative, and to reapply it at least once a year, to prevent warping, cracking, and decay. The preservative is not included. Installation of the heater itself must follow its own manual and local code.

IBIS Wheelchair to Car Lift

The IBIS wheelchair to car lift was a game changer for us. My husband has been in a wheelchair for more than 40 years and we have never seen anything like this in the US and had no idea such a lift exist existed.

My guy is hemiplegic and usually able to stand pivot into the car but he broke his femur in November 2025 and had to be non-weight bearing for 3 months. He lost so much strength and ability that he could no longer do any kind of safe transfer.
