HUUM Protective Bedding for HIVE Series Sauna Stoves

The HUUM Protective Bedding is a floor protection base for HUUM HIVE wood-burning sauna stoves. It sits under the stove and protects combustible flooring, such as a wooden sauna floor, from the heat of the stove. HUUM also recommends it where water underfloor heating pipes run beneath the stove, since it protects both the floor and the piping. It is available in two sizes: Small (S) at 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) and Large (L) at 550 x 650 mm (21.7 x 25.6 in). The bedding is rated for a maximum load of 300 kg (661 lbs). It has adjustable legs so it can be leveled, and it is made in Estonia. It is not for LS models. The stove, chimney, and stones are sold separately. Includes an installation manual.

Protects the floor under a wood-burning stove

A wood-burning stove runs hot, and a wooden sauna floor is combustible. The Protective Bedding is placed under the stove to protect the floor from that heat. The same goes for a sauna with liquid-based underfloor heating: HUUM recommends the bedding when water heating pipes run below the stove. It is a stand-alone accessory that works alongside the stove's own safety distances. It does not replace the clearances and floor requirements in the stove's manual.

Choose Small or Large, and check the fit before you order

The Small (S) bedding measures 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) and weighs about 10 lbs. The Large (L) bedding measures 550 x 650 mm (21.7 x 25.6 in) and weighs about 13.7 lbs. HUUM's product pages do not say which stove model takes which size, so check your stove's manual, make sure the stove can sit on the bedding with its safety distances kept, and contact us if you are unsure. Neither size is for LS models. HUUM lists a separate protective bedding for HIVE Flow LS stoves.

Installing the bedding

According to HUUM's installation manual: place the bedding where you want it, making sure the location keeps the stove's safety distances. Adjust the legs so the bedding is level and firm, and does not rock. Center the stove on the bedding so that all edges are the same distance from it, then check the safety distances again. The nut on each leg must be tightened against the underside of the plate. Installation of the stove itself must follow its own manual and local code.

Why the HUUM Protective Bedding stands out

Protects a combustible floor

Place it under the stove when the sauna floor is wood or another combustible material. The bedding sits between the stove and the floor to protect it from the stove's heat.

Protects underfloor heating pipes

HUUM also recommends the bedding where water underfloor heating pipes run beneath the stove, since it protects both the floor and the piping.

Rated for 300 kg

The bedding has a maximum load of 300 kg (661 lbs), so it can carry a HUUM wood-burning stove. Check your stove's weight, including stones, against this limit.

Two sizes

Small (S) is 500 x 500 mm (19.7 x 19.7 in) and Large (L) is 550 x 650 mm (21.7 x 25.6 in). Pick the size that lets your stove sit on the bedding with its safety distances kept.

Adjustable legs

HUUM's manual has you adjust the legs until the bedding is level and does not rock, then tighten the nut against the underside of the plate.

For HIVE wood-burning stoves, not LS

The bedding is for HUUM HIVE wood-burning stoves and is not for LS models. HUUM lists a separate protective bedding for HIVE Flow LS stoves. We are an authorized HUUM dealer.

IBIS Wheelchair to Car Lift

The IBIS wheelchair to car lift was a game changer for us. My husband has been in a wheelchair for more than 40 years and we have never seen anything like this in the US and had no idea such a lift exist existed.

My guy is hemiplegic and usually able to stand pivot into the car but he broke his femur in November 2025 and had to be non-weight bearing for 3 months. He lost so much strength and ability that he could no longer do any kind of safe transfer.

Our friend found the IBIS wheelchair to car lift online and we decided to take the risk. It was worth every penny and more. Within a day of its arrival we were mobile and in and out of the car again. It is very manageable for me to operate and in our 60’s we are grateful for anything that lightens our load.

Everything arrived as advertised. Customer service was outstanding with clear communication. I was provided help to ensure my measurements were correct and was offered a few options to customize the sling. We had to get a new car right after we bought the lift and it was a good fit in the new car.

We are very pleased and highly recommend this product.
