Stone-primary philosophy in a wall-mounted form
HUUM applies the same stone-primary philosophy to the DROP that runs through the CLIFF and STEEL platforms: build using very little metal so that heat comes mainly from the stones and only very little from the metal. HUUM's description of the consequence: this maximises the good negative ions from the stones, like in traditional saunas, and keeps the positive ions from the metal at a minimum. At 121 lbs of stones in a wall-mounted 7.5kW heater, the stone-to-power ratio is deliberately high - more stone mass than most wood-burning stoves in a comparable size class. HUUM notes this directly: despite its compact size, this heater can accommodate up to 55 kg of stones, which is more than most wood-burning heaters. The large stone mass produces soft, consistent steam and long-lasting heat with each ladle of water. The 5-10 cm rounded olivine stones included in the package are HUUM's recommended specification for the DROP - rounder stones allow better airflow through the stone basket and produce milder steam.

40A / 8AWG - important electrical distinction from CLIFF/STEEL 6kW
The DROP 7.5kW requires a 40A dedicated circuit and 8AWG wire. This is a larger electrical requirement than the CLIFF 6 and STEEL 6 (both 30A/10AWG) and than the STEEL Mini 4 (15A/14AWG). Buyers moving to the DROP from a CLIFF 6 or STEEL 6 installation, or comparing the two platforms side by side, need to account for this difference when planning the electrical installation. A licensed electrician should confirm the correct circuit capacity before installation. The DROP 7.5kW does not require a UKU Extension Box, unlike the CLIFF 9 and CLIFF 10.5 packages - the electrical sizing is the main installation distinction to plan for.

Warranty
5-year limited warranty (excluding elements)
The HUUM DROP 7.5kW carries HUUM's 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use and maintenance conditions. Heating elements are excluded from the 5-year term and carry a separate warranty period per the warranty document. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, failure to follow the installation and operation manual and stone placement video, use of incorrect stone type or size (decorative stones must not be used; only rounded olivine 5-10 cm recommended), operating without the required stone load, damage from inadequate electrical installation, or damage caused by hanging the heater from cedar paneling without proper structural anchoring to wall framing. The UKU Local controller included in the package carries its own separate HUUM product warranty terms. Proof of purchase from an authorized HUUM dealer is required for warranty claims.
