HUUM CLIFF 6 CLIFF Series 6kW Sauna Heater

The CLIFF cage is fabricated from the recycled cutouts produced during STEEL heater manufacturing. HUUM's own description of the intent: eliminating material waste to celebrate the nature that inspires the award-winning design. Every CLIFF in the market was made from material that would otherwise have been production scrap, and the cage structure makes this material origin visible. The open-cage format showcases the stones inside the sauna room rather than concealing them - the stones become a visual element of the sauna interior rather than a hidden functional component. For a buyer who cares about the material story of their heater alongside its performance, the CLIFF is the only HUUM heater with this specific provenance.

At 10.6" wide and 6.3" deep, the CLIFF 6 is the narrowest and shallowest floor heater HUUM produces. The STEEL 6 is 12.6" wide and 12.6" deep - twice the depth and nearly 2" wider. For a compact sauna room where the combination of heater width, depth, and side clearances directly determines how much bench space is available alongside the stove, the CLIFF 6 occupies the smallest floor area of any HUUM floor heater. The optional Reflect C reflector panel further reduces the side clearances from 2.36" to approximately half, making the effective combined footprint even more compact in tight sauna layouts.

The CLIFF's open cage with removable rib slats allows the stones to be loaded and stacked with precision that an enclosed heater cavity simply cannot offer. The rib slats can be individually removed using the included prop blocks, and stones can be arranged to minimize air gaps and maximize the stone-to-volume ratio within the cage. HUUM's description of the benefit: more accurate stacking of stones. A tighter stone arrangement with fewer air gaps produces more consistent heat distribution through the stone mass and more even steam production across the stone surface. Two prop blocks are included with every CLIFF 6 specifically for this purpose.

The CLIFF's visual identity draws from Estonia's landscape - specifically from the vertical, striated profile of the country's distinctive limestone and sandstone cliff faces. The heater's tall, slim profile with visible structural lines is a direct translation of that landscape reference into a functional product. Authorized dealers describe the CLIFF as one of HUUM's most striking heaters in a sauna interior - and the award recognition the design has received reflects the combination of design discipline, material story, and functional simplicity that the CLIFF achieves. The CLIFF 6 holds 165 lbs of rounded 3-5 cm olivine stones (5 boxes) in its open cage. The internal air duct channels air through the stone mass to increase heating speed by up to 25% versus heaters without an air tunnel. For a 6kW heater in a 176-353 cu ft room, both the stone capacity and the faster heat-up translate directly to session quality: 165 lbs of stones sustain consistent heat and steam through the full session, and the faster heat-up reduces the time from switch-on to bathing temperature. HUUM recommends rounded olivine stones in the CLIFF specifically to complement the open-cage design and produce the mildest, most pleasant steam quality from the visible stone mass.

The H1004012 is the 6kW floor-standing configuration of the HUUM CLIFF Series. The CLIFF Series also includes a CLIFF Mini (4kW, wall-mounted, for even smaller sauna rooms - HUUM describes it as an even slimmer model particularly suitable for very small sauna rooms). The CLIFF 9 and CLIFF 10.5 are larger output floor models for bigger rooms - those models require 9.45" (24 cm) side clearances and the CLIFF 10.5 requires the UKU Extension Box. The CLIFF-specific optional accessories - Rail C safety railing, Reflect C reflector panel, and Flange CS bench embedding flange - are designed specifically for the CLIFF platform and differ from the equivalent STEEL accessories.
