The Vega Compact is the simplest complete sauna heater in the Harvia 240V range: a compact stainless steel wall mount with built-in operating switches at the top of the unit, designed to be installed low on the sauna wall so that lower benches receive plenty of steam. No external control unit is needed. The symmetric heater body allows the switches to be configured on either the left or right side at installation.

At 3.5kW on a 240V/1-phase circuit, the Vega Compact 3500 covers rooms from 70 to 175 cubic feet - the range of a tight single-person sauna cabin through a standard small two-person home sauna. The 240V supply enables higher output than the 120V Vega Compact 1900 (which covers only up to 106 cu ft), making the 3500 the correct choice for anyone with a 240V supply available and a room in the 106-175 cu ft range that the 120V model cannot adequately heat. A 20A two-pole breaker and 12 AWG wire are required. A licensed electrician is required for the permanent wall connection.
Built-in top controls - symmetric, left or right configurable
The operating switches are built into the upper part of the heater body rather than at the base as on the KIP series. This top placement is the specific ergonomic decision that defines the Vega Compact range: because the heater is designed to be mounted low on the sauna wall, top-positioned switches remain at a comfortable operating height even when the heater is installed near floor level. The symmetric shape of the heater allows the switch module to be placed on either the left or right side depending on which side is more accessible from the bench. No external control unit is needed or compatible with this heater.
Single-screw wall mount - installs low for lower bench steam
The Vega Compact mounts to its wall bracket with a single screw and can be positioned lower on the sauna wall than conventional heaters. A lower installation position places the stone mass closer to the floor and the lower bench level, ensuring bathers on the lower bench receive radiant heat and loyly steam directly from the heater rather than only from heat descending from the upper part of the room. In small sauna rooms where the lower bench may be the only bench, this placement makes a meaningful practical difference to the steam experience.

Vega Compact 3500 (heater only) vs Vega BC35 PKG (heater + stones)
This listing (HCBU352401) is the Vega Compact 3500 heater only - the same product code as the Vega BC35 PKG, but without the included stones. If purchasing the heater and stones together in a single order is preferred, the Vega BC35 PKG includes one box of Harvia AC3000 stones with the heater. Both listings contain exactly the same HCBU352401 heater unit. The choice is simply whether stones are purchased here separately or as part of the package. For buyers who already have stones on hand, the standalone heater listing is the appropriate option.
A standard 2-pole 20A breaker and 12 AWG wire are required. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used. The heater must be permanently wired to the wall - it is not a plug-in appliance. A licensed electrician is required for all electrical connections.

2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia Vega Compact 3500 is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials including heating elements and controls. Heating elements are serviceable and replacements are available. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole required), incorrect stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), insufficient stones are installed, or the heater is improperly installed.
