Harvia Vega BC35 Pkg Vega Series 3.5kW Sauna Heater Package, Built-In Controls
The Harvia Vega BC35 Package is the 3.5kW, 240V step up from the Vega BC19 - the same compact form factor and built-in-control simplicity, but running on a standard 240V/1-phase circuit and covering sauna rooms from 70 to 175 cubic feet. It includes the BC35 heater and one box of Harvia AC3000 stones. In every dimension the BC35 and BC19 are identical: same 21.0"H x 11.0"W x 11.0"D footprint, same 15.4-lb heater weight, same top-mounted controls, same single-screw wall bracket, same 0.4-inch safety clearance from combustible materials, same stone capacity. The single difference is the supply voltage and the room range it unlocks. The BC19 (120V) covers rooms up to 106 cubic feet. The BC35 (240V) extends that to 175 cubic feet - a meaningful increase that covers standard small-to-mid home sauna rooms that the 120V model simply cannot heat to temperature.
3.5kW on 240V - covers nearly twice the room volume of the BC19
The transition from the BC19 to the BC35 is purely a function of room size. Both heaters are physically the same unit. At 1.9kW on 120V, the BC19 serves rooms up to 106 cubic feet - a tight single-person or compact two-person sauna. At 3.5kW on 240V, the BC35 reaches rooms up to 175 cubic feet, covering most standard two-person home saunas and compact three-person rooms. The 240V supply is a 20A two-pole circuit - standard for a bathroom exhaust fan or small appliance circuit - that most residential electrical panels can accommodate without panel upgrade. A licensed electrician is required for the permanent wall connection. If the sauna room is between 106 and 175 cubic feet and the supply is 240V, the BC35 is the correct Vega Compact choice. If the supply is 120V only, the BC19 is the only option at this output class.
Built-in top-mounted controls - symmetric, configurable left or right
The BC35 has the same built-in control system as the BC19: switches mounted at the top of the unit managing on/off and temperature, positioned so the heater can be mounted low on the wall without placing the controls at floor level. The symmetric body means the controls can be configured on either the left or the right side at installation. No external control unit is needed or compatible. This is the defining characteristic of the Vega Compact range: it is a complete, self-contained heater with no wiring beyond the supply connection, no secondary panel to install, and no data cable to run between a wall-mounted control and the heater body. Two knobs, one screw, one circuit. The BC35 is the Vega Compact for buyers who need 240V output and want nothing more complicated than that.
Single-screw wall mount - installs low for even heat to lower benches
The BC35 mounts to its wall bracket with a single screw. The bracket attaches to the wall, the heater lifts onto it, and a single fastener locks it in place. Harvia specifically designed the Vega Compact to be installed lower on the sauna wall than conventional heaters, which are typically positioned above bench height. A lower installation means the stone mass radiates heat and produces loyly steam at a level that reaches bathers on the lower bench directly - in a small sauna where there may be only one bench tier, this ensures every bather benefits from the full heat output of the heater without waiting for warmth to descend from above.

Why the Vega BC35 Package stands out
3.5kW covers rooms up to 175 cu ft
The 240V BC35 nearly doubles the room coverage of the 120V BC19 (106 cu ft maximum) in the same physical heater footprint. Rooms up to 175 adjusted cubic feet - standard two-person and compact three-person home saunas - are within its range. For BC19 buyers who need more room coverage, the BC35 is the direct step up without changing the heater design.
Compact footprint - 11" x 11" x 21"
Identical dimensions to the BC19: 21.0" tall, 11.0" wide, 11.0" deep. The smallest physical footprint of any 240V Harvia heater in this catalog. In a small sauna room where wall space is at a premium, the BC35 takes up the minimum area while delivering the output needed for rooms up to 175 cubic feet.
Built-in controls - nothing else to buy
Two knobs at the top of the unit are the complete control system. No external control unit, no data cable, no app setup, no additional purchase. The symmetric body lets the controls face left or right at installation. The BC35 is the complete built-in-control solution for 240V rooms up to 175 cubic feet.
0.4" safety clearance - fits tight spaces
Only 0.4 inches of clearance required from combustible materials on the front and sides - the same as the BC19 and the smallest safety envelope in the Harvia range. The BC35 installs very close to wooden bench structures and sauna walls, making it practical in small rooms where larger heater safety distances would intrude into the usable bench space.
Single-screw mount - installs low
Wall bracket plus single screw - the simplest installation in the Harvia 240V range. Designed to mount lower than standard heater height so bathers on the lower bench receive heat and steam directly from the stone mass rather than from heat descending from the top of the room.
Complete package - stones included
One box of Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm, approx. 29 lbs) is included - the full stone requirement for the BC35. No separate stone purchase is needed. The only remaining step is the 240V/1-phase electrical connection: 20A two-pole breaker, 12 AWG wire, by a licensed electrician.
About Harvia
Made in Finland - 75 years
The Vega BC35. The BC19 with 240V output for larger small saunas.
Harvia has been making sauna heaters in Finland since 1950. The Vega BC35 and BC19 are the same heater in different voltage configurations. Both share the same dimensions, weight, controls, mounting system, safety clearances, stone capacity, and stainless steel construction. The BC35 runs on 240V/1-phase and covers rooms to 175 cubic feet. The BC19 runs on 120V/1-phase and covers rooms to 106 cubic feet. For buyers installing a Vega Compact on a 240V circuit in a room between 106 and 175 cubic feet, the BC35 is the correct and complete choice.

BC19 vs BC35 - which is right?
Choosing between the Vega BC19 and BC35
The BC19 (1.9kW, 120V) and BC35 (3.5kW, 240V) are the same physical heater. The choice comes down to two factors: supply voltage and room size. If the supply is 120V only, the BC19 is the only option. If the supply is 240V and the room is under 106 cubic feet, either works - but the BC35 provides more headroom for less-than-ideal insulation, cold surfaces, or high ceilings. If the supply is 240V and the room is between 106 and 175 cubic feet, the BC35 is required. If the room exceeds 175 cubic feet, step up to the KIP45B (4.5kW, 100-211 cu ft) or the KIP60B (6kW, 170-300 cu ft).
A standard 2-pole 20A breaker and 12 AWG wire are required for the BC35. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used. The heater must be permanently wired; it is not a plug-in appliance. A licensed electrician is required for all connections.
Manuals and Documents
Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia Vega BC35 is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials including heating elements and controls. Heating elements are serviceable and replacements are available. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole breaker required), incorrect stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), insufficient stones are installed, or the heater is improperly installed. Proof of purchase from an authorized Harvia dealer is required. We are an authorized Harvia dealer.
