The Harvia KIP60B is a 6kW wall-mounted electric sauna heater for rooms from 170 to 300 cubic feet, available in stainless steel or black. Select the finish at checkout. Both finish options are identical in all technical specifications - the only difference is the exterior color. No external Xenio or Fenix control unit is required - the KIP60B has built-in analog controls at the heater base with a 60-minute session timer and an 8-hour startup delay. Sauna stones are required and sold separately (50 lbs, 1 box). The KIP60B is designed and manufactured in Finland by Harvia for reliable home sauna use.

Two finishes - same heater

The stainless steel and black KIP60B are the same heater in two exterior color options. Both use dual-wall construction with a cool-touch outer surface, the same built-in control panel, the same 60-minute timer and 8-hour startup delay, the same 6kW output, the same 170-300 cu ft room coverage, and the same 50-lb stone requirement. The choice between them is purely aesthetic - matching the heater finish to the sauna interior design.

Built-in controls with 8-hour startup delay

The KIP60B operates directly from the built-in control panel at the base of the heater - no separate Xenio or Fenix control panel purchase required. The panel features a 60-minute analog timer and thermostat dial. The 8-hour startup delay lets the sauna be pre-scheduled from the heater itself up to 8 hours in advance: set the desired start time and temperature before leaving the house and return to a ready sauna. For buyers who want straightforward, self-contained sauna control without additional hardware, apps, or external panels, the KIP60B is a complete standalone installation. WiFi remote control is not included but can be added later with the optional CX004WIFI (Xenio WiFi) or FX001XW (Fenix WiFi) add-on panel if desired.

Dual-wall construction - cool-touch exterior

The KIP60B uses dual-wall construction throughout - an inner heating chamber and an outer shell with an air gap between them. This keeps the outer surface cooler to the touch during operation than single-wall heaters, reducing the accidental contact burn risk in the sauna room. The outer shell material - stainless steel or black steel depending on the finish selected - is corrosion-resistant and suited to the high-heat, high-humidity sauna environment for long-term durability.

The 8-hour delay allows the sauna to be set in advance and ready at a specific time without the owner being present. Set the timer in the morning before leaving, return in the evening to a fully heated sauna. No app, no WiFi, no phone required - the scheduling happens directly from the heater dial. This is the most self-contained pre-scheduling option in the Harvia range.

Two finishes - one specification

Stainless steel suits light-wood traditional Nordic sauna interiors - hemlock, cedar, spruce, pine - where a silver-toned heater reads as a neutral functional element. Black suits darker timber, contemporary matte interiors, or rooms where the heater is intended to visually recede. Both are the same dual-wall KIP60B in all other respects: output, room range, stone requirement, controls, and warranty.

Dual-wall - cool-touch exterior

The air gap between the inner chamber and outer shell keeps the outer surface noticeably cooler during operation than single-wall heaters. In a home sauna where children use the space, or in any sauna room where accidental contact with the heater during movement is possible, the reduced surface temperature of the dual-wall design is a meaningful safety improvement over single-wall alternatives.

WiFi upgrade path - CX004WIFI or FX001XW

If remote preheat via app is wanted after installation, the CX004WIFI Xenio WiFi panel or FX001XW Fenix WiFi panel (sold separately) can be added without replacing the heater. The FX001XW is the more capable option: 4.3" touchscreen, MyHarvia 2 app, a smart timer that learns the sauna's specific heating curve, and 3 programmable session presets. The CX004WIFI provides straightforward MyHarvia app preheat and scheduling.

At 6kW for rooms from 170 to 300 cubic feet, the KIP60B heats a standard well-insulated home sauna to bathing temperature in approximately 20-35 minutes. Warranty

Harvia limited warranty

The Harvia KIP60B is covered by Harvia's limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty applies equally to both the stainless steel (JH60B2401) and black (JH60B2401M) finish variants. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use without the required stone load, use of non-Harvia stones, connection to a GFI/GFCI breaker, or failure to follow Harvia's installation and operating guidelines. A licensed electrician is required for all electrical connections. Proof of purchase from an authorized Harvia dealer is required for warranty claims. We are an authorized Harvia dealer.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. Restock fees will be deducted in amounts ranging from 15% to 25% of the value of the item being returned. The minimum restock fee on lower-value orders will be $15.
