Pillar design - adjustable steam, massive stone mass
The Cilindro's cylindrical pillar form is the most visually distinctive heater design in the Harvia residential lineup. The grate-like outer shell is partially open at the front, wrapping around a tall column of 264 lbs of AC3000 stones with stainless steel heating elements running through the center. This architecture serves a specific purpose: the exposed stone mass gives bathers direct interaction with the stones during the session. The steam experience is adjustable in a way no other Harvia heater offers. Pouring water onto the side or middle of the stone pillar produces soft, gentle steam - the water travels through the outer layer of cooler stones before reaching the hot core, moderating the steam burst. Pouring water directly onto the top of the stone pillar produces sharp, intense steam - the water hits the hottest stones at the top of the column directly. A single Cilindro heater therefore offers two distinct steam experiences without any adjustment to settings or hardware - purely by changing where on the heater the bather chooses to ladle water.
Built-in heat shield - minimized safety distances and flexible placement
The Cilindro PC110E includes a built-in heat shield integrated into the outer shell design. This shield protects the adjacent sauna wall from the radiant heat output of the pillar and reduces the required safety distances to combustible surfaces - giving sauna designers and builders more flexibility in placement within the 141-636 cu ft room range. The Cilindro is designed for side wall or corner installation. Its circular footprint and tall pillar profile mean it occupies relatively little floor area for its output and stone mass compared to rectangular wall heaters, allowing benches to be positioned closer to the heater than a flat-face heater of equivalent capacity would permit.
Xenio or Fenix control required - "E" suffix designation
The "E" in PC110E designates external control - the Cilindro PC110E is controlled by a separate Xenio or Fenix control unit that must be purchased separately. The heater cannot operate without a control unit. At 10.5kW, a Xenio CX30 or CX45 is compatible; the corresponding Fenix FX30 or FX45 touchscreen controls are also compatible. Confirm the correct control tier with the IOM or contact BathingBrands before ordering. AC3000 stones in the 5-10 cm size range are specified for the Cilindro - confirm size before purchasing, as the Cilindro uses AC3000 5-10cm, not the AC3020 10-15cm used by most other Harvia heaters. A licensed electrician is required for all electrical connections. Do not connect to a GFI/GFCI breaker.

The "H" in HPCS11U1H designates the Cilindro Half series - a partially open front outer casing that exposes the stone surface directly to the sauna room on the front face. The full Cilindro (without H) has a more enclosed casing. The Cilindro PC110E is a fundamentally different heater architecture from the KIP, Spirit, Wall, and Virta series. KIP and Spirit are wall-mounted rectangular heaters for 106-294 cu ft rooms - compact, low-profile, suitable for small to medium home saunas. The Cilindro PC110E is a floor-standing pillar for 141-636 cu ft - tall, sculptural, with 264 lbs of stones accessible to bathers for direct steam interaction. Choose KIP or Spirit for a standard wall-mounted installation in a smaller room. Choose the Cilindro PC110E when the sauna is large enough for a floor-standing pillar, the bather wants interactive steam control, the room design calls for a pillar centrepiece, or the maximum stone mass in an electric heater is the priority. The Cilindro PC110E requires a pallet delivery appointment; KIP and Spirit ship via standard parcel or UPS.

2-year limited warranty (consumer use)
The Harvia Cilindro PC110E is covered by Harvia's 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase for consumer use. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use without the required stone load, use of incorrect stone type or size, connection to a GFI/GFCI breaker, operating without the required Xenio or Fenix control, or failure to follow Harvia's installation and operating guidelines.
