ThermaSol Nordic Misty Terrace Outdoor Terrace for Nordic Misty Sauna Cabin
The ThermaSol Nordic Misty Terrace is an open-front sheltered outdoor module designed to extend the Nordic Misty sauna experience into the surrounding garden. Unlike the Changing Room and Lounge - which are fully enclosed, insulated indoor spaces - the Terrace is exactly what its name suggests: a covered outdoor area with a solid back wall, a protective roof, a warm thermo-aspen floor, and two front support columns framing an open view of the outdoors. It attaches seamlessly to any Nordic Misty module or stands independently as a sheltered garden feature. Available in Small (59"W, ideal for a single lounger) and Medium (87"W, accommodating two loungers or a compact outdoor kitchen), the Terrace brings architectural cohesion, weatherproof overhead cover, and recessed LED illumination to the outdoor portion of a Nordic Misty wellness setup.
Open-front design - shelter without enclosure
The Terrace is intentionally open. There are no walls on the front or sides - only the back wall, the roof above, the floor below, and the two front support columns that frame the view. This open structure makes the Terrace fundamentally different from every other Nordic Misty module: it is not a room to step inside, but a covered outdoor threshold to inhabit. The back wall is clad in the same dark Nordic thermo-spruce panels as the Nordic Misty Sauna, creating an unbroken visual line along any Nordic Misty configuration the Terrace joins. The roof provides genuine weather protection from rain and direct sun without creating the enclosed atmosphere of the Lounge. In a Nordic Misty compound, the Terrace typically sits at one end of the complex - providing a place to cool down outdoors in the air after the sauna, protected from rain, with the warmth of the thermo-aspen floor underfoot and the soft glow of recessed LED overhead.
3D heat-treated wooden slats - a modern interior detail
The back wall interior and the underside of the roof - both visible surfaces from within the terrace - are finished in three-dimensional heat-treated wooden slats rather than the flat cladding used in other Nordic Misty modules. The slats are profiled with a raised surface that creates depth, shadow, and a distinctly contemporary aesthetic. Heat treatment stabilises the wood against moisture and dimensional movement without chemicals or paint, ensuring the slats maintain their appearance and integrity through years of outdoor exposure. Against the dark spruce exterior visible on the back wall's outer face and the warm tone of the thermo-aspen floor, the 3D slat interior gives the Terrace an interior character that is noticeably more refined than a simple shed roof. Recessed LED spotlights are integrated flush into the ceiling between the slats, providing illumination that disappears during daylight and creates a warm pool of light after dark.
Small and Medium sizes - one lounger or two
The Small Terrace at 59 inches wide is sized for a single sun lounger - a focused, private cool-down spot alongside a sauna or changing room. The Medium at 87 inches wide opens up significantly more possibility: two full-size loungers side by side, a compact outdoor kitchen setup with a preparation surface and storage, or a small seating area with a table and chairs. Both sizes share the same 91-inch depth and 100-inch height, ensuring the roof profile and back wall height match identically across a Nordic Misty configuration regardless of which size modules are used. The Terrace connects to adjacent Nordic Misty modules via the standard screw connection system on the back wall, with the same transport brackets and roofline hardware as every other module in the system. It can also stand completely independently on any firm, level surface.

Why the Nordic Misty Terrace stands out
Open-front - sheltered, not enclosed
The Terrace is the only Nordic Misty module designed to keep you connected to the outdoor environment. No walls, no glass - just a protective roof, a warm floor, and the open air. The perfect cooling-off space between sauna rounds or a sheltered outdoor spot on its own.
3D wooden slats - distinctive interior finish
Three-dimensional heat-treated wooden slats on both the ceiling and interior back wall create a raised, textured surface with contemporary shadow and depth. A noticeably more refined finish than flat cladding - and visible from every angle within the terrace space.
Dark thermo-spruce back wall
The exterior face of the back wall uses the same dark Nordic heat-treated spruce panels as the Nordic Misty Sauna. Placed alongside a sauna or changing room, the Terrace reads as a natural continuation of the same structure - not an add-on.
Thermo-aspen floor - warm underfoot
The thermo-aspen floor provides a warm, stable, dimensionally consistent surface that remains comfortable barefoot year-round. Heat-treated for moisture resistance and outdoor durability without any maintenance requirement.
Recessed LED - plug-and-play
Ceiling-integrated recessed LED spotlights illuminate the terrace space after dark on a standard outlet with no hardwiring required. The spotlights disappear into the 3D slat ceiling during daylight and create a warm, focused glow at night.
Two sizes - standalone or connected
Small (59"W) for a single lounger, Medium (87"W) for two loungers or a summer kitchen. Both connect to any Nordic Misty module or stand entirely independently. Modules and saunas do not need to be ordered together - grow your setup over time.
About ThermaSol
American design and engineering
The outdoor component of a complete Nordic Misty wellness complex.
ThermaSol has been engineering premium steam and sauna systems since 1958. The Nordic Misty Terrace is designed to answer a specific question in any Nordic Misty configuration: where do bathers go between rounds? The Changing Room provides private indoor transition space; the Lounge provides an enclosed indoor retreat. The Terrace provides the outdoor counterpart - open to the air, sheltered from rain and sun, with the same dark spruce aesthetic running continuously along the back wall of the whole complex.

About ThermaSol
The Nordic Misty system - grow it over time
The Nordic Misty ecosystem is designed so that every module can be added individually over time, in any order. The Terrace can be the first module purchased alongside the sauna, the last module added to complete a compound years later, or a standalone garden feature used entirely independently. It does not need to be ordered with any other Nordic Misty product. When it is connected, the screw connections on the back wall and the shared roofline design ensure it integrates cleanly with every other module in the system without visible gaps or mismatched profiles.
The Terrace arrives via flatbed trailer, fully assembled. ThermaSol notifies customers two weeks before the scheduled delivery date. A forklift or crane is required for off-loading. The path from the delivery vehicle to the final placement site must be clear and accessible, and the surface must be firm and level. The Terrace is an open-front structure - no doors, no locks, and no electrical hardwiring beyond a standard outlet connection for the LED spotlights.

Installation guide
Download the ThermaSol Nordic Misty installation manual below. It covers site preparation, placement requirements, module connection procedures for attaching the Terrace to adjacent Nordic Misty modules, roofline transition finishing, electrical connection for the LED spotlights, and ongoing maintenance guidelines. The Terrace is the simplest Nordic Misty module to install - its open-front structure has no door hardware, no glazing, and no insulation to manage. Review the connection section carefully if joining the Terrace directly to a sauna or enclosed module on the back wall.
