Compact, Foldable Electric Hoyer Journey Sit-to-Stand-to-Lift

Bathrooms, hallways, and small bedrooms rarely leave room for bulky equipment, yet that is often where patients need the most help. The Hoyer Journey from Joerns Healthcare is an electric sit-to-stand lift with a small footprint made for exactly those spaces: its legs close to 27 inches and it turns in a 45.1-inch radius.

The Journey adapts to the person using it. The spreader bar locks into three positions to suit residents of different heights, and the kneepad slides through more than 10 inches of travel with one hand. Its lifting range runs from 28.4 to 60.2 inches at the attachment point, enough to take a patient from a low seat to a wheelchair, power chair, or commode. At 88.6 lbs, it is light enough for different caregivers to handle without strain.

Warranty length

HoyerPro Lifts are guaranteed for a period of two years from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty includes all mechanical and electrical components.

Structural components

Aluminum structural components and welds are covered for the lifetime of the lift, which Joerns defines as 15 years from the date of delivery.

Wear parts

HoyerPro Lifts contain various parts that wear from normal use. These parts, such as DC batteries, hydraulic pumps and casters are not covered under the lifetime warranty but are covered for 90 days after date of delivery.

Remedy

Joerns Healthcare's obligation under this warranty is limited to supplying replacement parts, servicing, or replacing, at its option, any product which is found by Joerns Healthcare to be defective. Warranty replacement parts are covered by the terms of this warranty until the product's original warranty period expires.

FAQ

Who is the Hoyer Journey designed for?
The Journey is an active sit-to-stand lift for patients who can bear some of their own weight, with a safe working load of 341 lbs.
Will it fit in my bathroom or hallway?
With the legs closed, the Journey is 27.0" wide, it turns in a 45.1" radius, and the widest point between the support handles is 26.8". Measure your space and compare it with these figures before ordering.
Can it be folded for transport?
Yes. It folds without tools, stands on its own when folded, and the mast can be lifted out of the base completely. See the user manual for the folded dimensions.
How long does the battery take to charge?
About 4 hours. The Journey comes with two batteries and an off-board charger, so one can charge while the other is in use.
How do I open the base?

Due to hygiene and health regulations, all mattress and bed sales are final and non-returnable once the product has been delivered or opened.

Restock fees will be deducted in amountsranging of 25% of the value of the item being returned.

IBIS Wheelchair to Car Lift

The IBIS wheelchair to car lift was a game changer for us. My husband has been in a wheelchair for more than 40 years and we have never seen anything like this in the US and had no idea such a lift exist existed.

My guy is hemiplegic and usually able to stand pivot into the car but he broke his femur in November 2025 and had to be non-weight bearing for 3 months. He lost so much strength and ability that he could no longer do any kind of safe transfer.

Our friend found the IBIS wheelchair to car lift online and we decided to take the risk. It was worth every penny and more. Within a day of its arrival we were mobile and in and out of the car again. It is very manageable for me to operate and in our 60’s we are grateful for anything that lightens our load.
