Q: Can I install the Echo H2 Machine on the counter but connect it to the waterline under my sink instead of the faucet?

A: Yes, you can! However, if you purchased the above-counter installation setup, you’ll need to purchase an additional fitting to connect directly to the waterline:

  • You will need an angle stop T-valve with the following specifications:
    3/8" x 3/8" x 1/4"

 Important:
This T-valve is not included in the above-counter setup.
Echo Water does not sell this part individually—it is only included in the under-counter setup that comes with the Echo H2 Faucet.

Under-Counter Installation

Under-Counter Installation:
Use the Echo H2 Faucet, a vented faucet with three water lines (red, blue, and white) designed to manage water pressure safely. Aftermarket faucets will not pressurize correctly and cause your machine to break, voiding your warranty.

Usage & Operation

Initial Operation

Follow these steps to begin using your Echo H2 Machine for the first time:

1. Power On the Machine

  • Plug the Echo H2 Machine into a surge protector.

  • Locate the master power switch on the back of the machine.

  • Flip the switch to the ON position.

2. Activate Water Flow

  • Turn the ON/OFF knob on the front of the machine to the ON position.

3. What to Expect

  • A voice announcement will indicate the type of water currently being dispensed.

  • The Filter Life Indicator will automatically begin tracking water usage.

    • It will display the remaining filter life based on the volume of water used.

Hydrogen Water Option

  1. Turn on the machine

    • Rotate the ON/OFF knob to the ON position.

    • The large round Hydrogen button (H2) should illuminate.

  2. If the Hydrogen button is not illuminated:

    • Press the Hydrogen (H2) button manually to start hydrogen water production.

  3. Confirmation:

    • You will hear a voice message indicating that hydrogen water is being dispensed.

 To Dispense Hydrogen Water:

  • Simply press the Hydrogen Water Button (H2) when you're ready to use the water.

Filtered Water Option

To dispense non-hydrogenated, filtered water:

  1. Turn on the machine

    • Rotate the ON/OFF knob to the ON position.

  2. Select Filtered Water Mode

    • Press the Filtered Water button.

    • The Hydrogen (H2) button will turn off (no longer illuminated).

    • A voice message will confirm with: “Filtered water”.

    • Hydrogen is not produced in this mode.

💡 Tip: You can press the Filtered Water button at any time—even while hydrogen water is being dispensed—to switch to filtered water mode.

How To Shut Off Water Flow

To stop the machine:

  1. Rotate the ON/OFF knob to the OFF position.

  2. The LED display will turn off.

  3. The machine will enter standby mode.

Settings

The Setting Function allows you to adjust the language and volume of your Echo H2 Machine.

🔌 Note: The machine must be powered ON to access these settings.

1. How to Set the Language

(Default: English)

  1. Touch and hold the Mode button for a few seconds until you hear a ring sound.
    The settings screen will appear.

    • You will see: LAn0_ English

  3. Press the Filtered button to switch between available languages:

    • LAn0 → English

    • LAn1 → Korean

  4. Press the Mode button to save your selected language.

2. How to Set the Volume

(Default: VoL3)

  1. Touch and hold the Mode button until the ring sound is heard and the settings screen appears.

    • You will see: VoL3

  3. Press the Filtered button to adjust the volume level:

    • Options range from VoL0 (mute) to VoL3 (highest).

  4. Press the Mode button to save your volume setting.

⚠️ Warnings & Safety Precautions

Please read all safety instructions before using your Echo H2 Machine. Failure to follow these precautions may result in electric shock, fire, equipment damage, or warranty voidance.

Electrical Safety

  • Surge Protector Required:
    Always use a surge protector to protect the machine.
    ⚠ If a surge protector is not used, your warranty will be void.
  • Never immerse the Echo H2 Machine in water.
    If it happens accidentally:

    1. Immediately unplug the machine and surge protector from the wall.

    2. Carefully remove the machine from the water.

    3. Contact Customer Support immediately.

  • Avoid electric shock risks:

    • Do not touch the plug with wet hands.

    • Do not pull, bend, or deform the power cord.

    • Do not use a defective plug, surge protector, or loose socket.

    • Insert the plug fully into a functioning surge protector.

    • Regularly clean the plug with a dry cloth to prevent dust buildup.

    • Never use the machine with other electric devices at the same time.

  • Use correct voltage:
    Always set the machine’s voltage to match the electrical standard of your country. Do not use any incompatible voltage.

Installation Safety

  • Under-Counter Installation:
    Use the Echo H2 Faucet, a vented faucet with three water lines (red, blue, and white) designed to manage water pressure safely. Aftermarket faucets will not pressurize correctly and cause your machine to break, voiding your warranty.

  • Water Supply:

    • Connect only to a cold water source.
      Connecting to hot water may damage the filter/machine and void your warranty.

    • Use only drinkable water with the machine.

  • Location Guidelines:

    • Install in areas with ambient temperatures between 5°F and 104°F.

    • Water temperature must be between 41°F and 86°F.

    • Avoid:

      • Areas prone to freezing

      • Direct sunlight

      • High humidity or dust

      • Water splashes

Fire and Damage Prevention

  • Do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or alter the machine.
    Unauthorized modifications will void your warranty. Please feel free to contact Customer Support for any issues.

  • Do not splash water on or wash the exterior of the machine.

  • Avoid hose damage:

    • Do not block the water output.

    • Do not bend, twist, or press the hose.

  • If you notice unusual sounds or smells, unplug immediately and contact Customer Support.

Filter Information & Replacement

Genuine TAG Filter

Your Echo H2 Machine uses a Genuine TAG Filter, which ensures high-quality filtration and system performance.

 Note: This filter does not have a reset function.

Filter Replacement Notification

When the filter needs to be replaced:

  • The filter number graphic will display the following: 0000.

  • The filter change icon will flash.

  • A voice message will say: "Replace the filter."

  • The machine will automatically switch to Filtered Water Mode.

  • ⚠ The machine will not operate until a genuine TAG filter is installed.

Filter Composition

Recommended Filter Replacement Period

The effective lifespan of the filter may vary depending on:

  • Season and climate

  • Water pressure

  • Water quality

  • Amount of contaminants

  • Frequency of machine use

General Recommendation:

  • Replace the filter at least once a yeareven if no warning is shown or issues are noticed.

How to Replace the Filter

When it’s time to replace the filter, your Echo H2 Machine will notify you:

  • The Filter Life Indicator will show 0000.

  1. Power Off and Shut Off the Water

    • Turn off the master power switch located on the back of the machine.

    • Shut off the incoming water supply.

  2. Remove the Old Filter

    • Gently pull the filter cover forward to remove it.

    • Push down on the top of the filter.

    • While pressing down, pull the top of the filter outward toward you.

  3. Install the New Filter

    • Use a Genuine TAG Filter only.

    • Position the filter so that the arrow on the filter points forward.

    • Fit the filter into the groove below and push it in.

    • Ensure the arrow on the machine aligns with the arrow on the filter.

       If the arrows do not match, the machine will not recognize the filter as genuine.

  4. Power On and Test

    • Turn the master power switch back to the ON position.

    • In standby mode, press the Filtered Water button.

    • Allow water to flow for 2–3 minutes to check for any leaks.

      • If no leaks are found, close the filter cover.

Replace the Filter If:

  • You receive a "Replace filter" prompt from the machine.

  • The water tastes impure or off.

  • There is a strong odor, or the water flow is weak.

  • The machine has been unused for over 30 days:

    • Remove the filter and store it in the refrigerator.

    • Filters can be stored for up to 60 days and still remain effective.

  • The filter has been in use for over 1 year, even if no issues are detected.

Cleaning Cartridge Instructions

  1. Turn off the unit: Ensure the power is completely off.
  2. Remove the main filter: Detach the main Tag filter and place it in a container to catch any residual water and prevent leaks.
  3. Install the cleaning cartridge: Attach the cleaning cartridge in place of the main filter.
  4. Turn on the water: Set the water knob to the "On" position to allow water to flow through the unit. Let the water run until it starts coming out from the top of the machine.
  5. Turn off the water: Once water begins to flow from the top, shut off the water and let the unit sit overnight to allow for thorough cleaning.
  6. Reinstall the main filter: Replace the cleaning cartridge with the main filter.
  7. Flush the unit: Run filtered water through the machine for 3 minutes to clear any cleaning residue.

Warranty Coverage

10-Year Product Warranty

This warranty is limited in scope and covers only the following defects:

Any factory defects to the internal or external components of the device.

Any material physical flaw in the device manifesting in the exterior enclosure, including splits or cracks in the case, delamination of glued surfaces, and broken or defective screens or displays, impacts the device's performance and is not caused by improper use or handling of the equipment.

This limited warranty covers only the core equipment. It does not cover any other accessories attached to the device, including plumbing fixtures and fittings, tubing, filters, or other components and accessories.

This limited Warranty is personal to you as the original owner and cannot be transferred to anyone else. You will be responsible for all costs associated with handling and transportation related to the original equipment and any replacement equipment.

Warranty Exceptions

This warranty does not cover filters or other parts that are designed to be replaced from time to time.

Your Remedies

If the equipment is deemed defective by Echo Technologies during the time, you, as the original owner, continue to own the equipment. we will be responsible, in our sole discretion, for either repairing the equipment or providing a new or refurbished replacement product or the equivalent credit amount (Warranty Credit) to you equal to a prorated percentage of your original purchase price (less any taxes, handling, transportation, or other fees). Any credit amounts given must be applied exclusively to the purchase of a new product from us, according to the following schedule:

During the first 2 years of your ownership, the warranty Credit shall be 100% of the original purchase price (less any taxes, handling, transportation, or other fees).

During year 3 of original ownership by you, the warranty credit shall be 75% and decrease by 10% for each additional year through year 10.

Repair Cost Schedule

At our discretion, we may choose to repair the device rather than or before issuing a replacement or a credit. Repairs are billed at $125 per hour plus parts and shipping. These costs will be Prorated based on the warranty schedule below.

  • Be the original consumer or purchaser. Coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer possession of the equipment.
  • Provide proof of original purchase via a copy of the original store receipt reflecting proof of purchase date, place of purchase, and purchase price.
  • Customer service and Technical Support will go through troubleshooting steps before sending out a full replacement unit.
  • Only one replacement is permitted per item. No further replacements will be provided if a replacement has already been received under warranty.
  • This limited Warranty will be void and shall not apply to products that have been intentionally or negligently damaged, dropped, stained, exposed to sunlight, exposed to harsh chemicals or elements, exposed to cold or freezing temperatures, water damaged, dropped, exposed to insects or animals, improperly vented, or overheated, used with hard water, or otherwise physically damaged or soiled (including by bodily fluid).
  • Overheating
  • Deterioration in performance over time caused by failure to properly and regularly clean, change the filters, and do general routine maintenance.
  • The machine must be used with a surge protector; damage from power surges will not be covered.

ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS AND WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED.
