Why Choose the Hoyer Presence® Multi-Purpose Patient Lift with Powered Base?
Joerns Healthcare built the Hoyer Presence to handle almost any resident-handling task a care team faces. This powered-base floor lift carries residents up to 500 lbs, and its spreader bar travels from 16.9 to 75.2 inches, reaching from the floor up to a high bed frame. A larger lifting area gives bigger residents more room and comfort.
Hoyer Smart Monitor takes the guesswork out of upkeep. It counts every lift, protects against overload, and tells you when recommended service is due, so the lift stays ready for the next transfer.
Key Features of the Hoyer Presence® Lift
At just 88.2 lbs, the aluminum frame moves easily from room to room, and the intuitive push pad gets it rolling with little effort. Powered legs open and close at the touch of a button, while swan neck style legs let the lift reach in close to the resident for a more secure transfer.
You can tailor the Presence to your setting. Add the NAWI Class III digital scale to weigh residents without losing any lifting height, choose a manual or powered cradle to match your sling system, or fit the low leg kit to slide under beds, stretchers, and other low furniture.

FAQ
Can the Hoyer Presence lift a patient from the floor?
Yes. The spreader bar lowers to 16.9" and rises to 75.2", so the Presence can lift a resident from the floor and transfer them to a higher surface such as a bed.
Is the scale included?
The NAWI Class III digital scale is an option on the Presence. Choose the scale version if you need to weigh residents during transfers. It does not reduce the lifting height.
Will it fit under a low bed or stretcher?
With the optional low leg kit, the Presence fits under beds, stretchers, and other furniture with low clearance.
Will the Presence fit through my doorways?
With the legs closed, the Presence measures 26.4" across the outside of the legs. Measure your doorways before ordering.
Which slings can I use?
Optional manual or powered cradles let you choose from a wider range of sling systems. See the Joerns Sling Selection Guide in the Manual section, or call our team at
