Merits Health Products, Inc. will repair or replace the items listed below that have a manufacturing defect. Credit is given following inspection of the material or workmanship by an authorized representative. Warranties are administered through the selling dealer starting from the original consumer purchase date, and the warranty is transferable to a new consumer through the dealer and remains valid for the full duration specified by the manufacturer's warranty.

From the original date of consumer purchase: joystick, power module and controller; motor, gearbox and brake assembly; electrical harnesses; angle sensor; circuit boards; charger; transaxle; cushion, back and positioning accessories; seat post and mount; power seat actuator; caster beam; joystick mounting bracket; metal seat frame; anti tipper assembly; batteries 31Ah and above; powered footplate; armrest bracket (metal part only); caster forks; non-powered footplate; cover and gel pack; swivel seat mechanism; and batteries less than 31Ah.
Exclusions (wear items)
Tires and tubes, fuses and bulbs, battery cases, plastic and rubber parts, motor brushes, brake pads, upholstery including seat and arm pads and padding, painted surfaces including shrouds and fenders, acts of nature, loss or theft, and accidents.
Events that will void the warranty
Abuse, meaning use in a way the product was not intended to be used. Neglect, improper operation, maintenance or repair. Improper storage, such as excessive heat or moisture or exposure to the elements. Units altered or serviced by an agency not authorized by Merits Health Products, Inc. Serial numbered products where the serial number has been removed or defaced. Failure to follow the instructions, warnings and notes in the owner's manual and those located on the product. Please note that gradual deterioration in battery performance caused by poor battery care, maintenance, overuse or abuse is not covered under warranty.
Remedies and costs
Parts purchased outside of warranty have 90 days to report a manufactured defect. Merits Health Products, Inc. retains the right to replace warranted parts with either refurbished or new parts at their discretion for the original purchaser. Any costs related to labor, service calls, transportation, freight or other charges associated with the installation of warranted parts are the responsibility of the consumer or dealer. This warranty gives you specific rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
