The HUUM UKU Gold is a WiFi sauna control with a gold glass panel - a premium finish option within the UKU Glass control family. It shares identical functionality with the UKU Mirror and UKU Local controls: the same HUUM app connectivity, the same temperature range, the same safety features, and the same heater compatibility. What distinguishes the UKU Gold is its panel surface - gold-toned glass that brings a warm metallic accent to the sauna control position, suited to sauna interiors with warm wood tones, brass or gold hardware, amber lighting, and Nordic or spa-influenced design palettes where the cooler reflective surface of the UKU Mirror would not integrate as naturally. All UKU WiFi functions are available from both the panel and the HUUM app on iOS and Android.
Gold glass panel - a warm metallic finish for the sauna wall
The UKU Gold panel is made of glass with a gold-toned surface finish. In sauna rooms with warm interior materials - amber-toned cedar, golden-brown pine, thermo-ash, or natural birch - the gold panel reads as a designed accent rather than a utility control. Sauna rooms with brass or gold fixture hardware, warm LED lighting, and earthy stone or tile accents are the natural home for the UKU Gold: it complements the warmth of these material palettes in a way that the cooler, more neutral UKU Mirror or the stark contrast of the UKU Local Black cannot. The panel can be installed recessed flush into the wall or surface-mounted with the optional UKU Frame bezel (sold separately). Full UKU WiFi feature set - remote preheat, scheduling, safety
The UKU Gold includes the complete HUUM UKU WiFi control feature set. From the HUUM app on iOS or Android, the sauna can be turned on or off from anywhere, the target temperature can be set from 122°F to 230°F (50-110°C), a delayed start can be programmed up to 48 hours in advance, and the current temperature can be monitored live. A push notification is sent when the sauna reaches the set temperature. Unlimited users can be connected to the same sauna through the HUUM app. Safety features include overheating protection (automatic shutoff at approximately 266°F / 130°C), a door sensor that prevents remote starting when the sauna door is open, and a child safety lock. The panel supports 8 languages: English, Estonian, German, Russian, Italian, Finnish, Polish, and French.
Compatible with different heater brands - up to 18kW with Extension Box
Like all UKU WiFi controls, the UKU Gold is compatible with electric sauna heaters from different manufacturers within the supported load range. Without the UKU Extension Box, it controls heaters up to 11kW directly. For heaters from 11kW to 18kW - including all HUUM heaters over 11kW - the UKU Extension Box (sold separately) is required. Lighting, ventilation, and steamer accessory connections allow the UKU Gold to manage the complete sauna room environment from the same panel and app interface. The sauna heater is sold separately.

For sauna rooms with non-HUUM heaters where app control is the goal, the UKU Gold can often be added as a control upgrade without replacing the heater.
Lighting, ventilation, and steamer control
Accessory connections allow sauna lighting, ventilation, and an optional steamer to be controlled from the same UKU Gold panel and HUUM app interface as the heater. One control panel manages the complete sauna room environment - not just the heater - from both the wall panel and the phone, remotely from anywhere.
Safety: overheat, door sensor, child lock
Overheating protection automatically shuts down the heater if the sauna temperature exceeds approximately 266°F (130°C). The door sensor prevents the HUUM app from remotely starting the heater when the sauna room door is open. The child safety lock prevents accidental activation from the panel. All three safety features are standard across all UKU WiFi panel variants.
Recessed or surface-mounted
The UKU Gold installs flush-recessed into the wall for a seamless, integrated appearance, or surface-mounted with the optional UKU Frame bezel (sold separately) for a more prominent panel presentation. Both installation methods are covered in the Install Diagram document below. The gold panel surface is visible and legible at normal sauna temperatures and humidity levels from the recessed or surface position.

5-year warranty
The HUUM UKU Gold is covered by HUUM's 5-year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use outside of the specified heater load range, or failure to use the UKU Extension Box when required for heaters over 11kW. Proof of purchase from an authorized HUUM dealer is required for warranty claims. We are an authorized HUUM dealer.
