What changes is the output level and the electrical requirement. The HIVE Mini 6 runs on a single 30A / 10 AWG circuit. The HIVE Mini 9 and 10.5 both require a single 50A / 8 AWG circuit. The HIVE Mini 9 carries the same 330-lb stone capacity as the HIVE Mini 6 in the same 18.11" diameter open beehive cage. The air tunnel is pre-installed on the heater as standard. The HIVE Mini 9 carries the same 330-lb stone load in the same 18.11" diameter cage as the 6kW and 10.5kW. The physical size of the heater in the sauna room does not change between HIVE Mini output levels. More output driving the same stone mass means faster heat-up to bathing temperature and greater capacity to sustain that temperature through the session and back-to-back use.
Single circuit - no extension box required
Unlike the full HIVE series (12kW+) which requires dual circuits and a UKU Extension Box, the HIVE Mini 9kW operates on a single 50A / 8 AWG circuit with no extension box. The UKU control connects directly to the heater. One circuit, one control, no additional hardware. Simpler electrical installation than the full HIVE at a room range that bridges the gap between the DROP series and the full HIVE.
Open beehive cage - direct stone-to-element contact
The open stainless steel cage allows air to circulate through the full 330-lb stone mass from multiple directions simultaneously. Stones throughout the pile are heated evenly by direct element contact rather than only those adjacent to the base elements. When water is ladled, it contacts stones at multiple temperature levels, producing soft, layered steam that distributes evenly through the sauna room.
Air tunnel pre-installed - 25% faster heat-up
The air tunnel is standard in all current HIVE Mini models and is pre-installed on the heater. For a 318-530 cu ft sauna room at 9kW, the air tunnel reduces heat-up time meaningfully - getting the room to bathing temperature faster without additional electrical load. It also reduces thermal stress on the heating elements, extending their service life.
UKU WiFi - remote preheat for a mid-size sauna
A 318-530 cu ft room at 9kW takes 30-45 minutes to reach bathing temperature. Upgrading to UKU WiFi at checkout adds HUUM app control - start the preheat from anywhere on iOS or Android and arrive to a ready sauna. No extension box required for the WiFi upgrade on the 9kW. For regular sauna users, the scheduled preheat function in the app removes the need to plan around warm-up time entirely.

Which HIVE Mini output is correct - 6kW, 9kW, or 10.5kW?
All three HIVE Mini models share identical body dimensions (18.11" diameter, 29.5"H), stone capacity (330 lbs), and installation method. No UKU Extension Box is required for any of them. The selection is based on room size and adjusted cubic footage. HIVE Mini 6kW: 177-318 cu ft, single 30A / 10 AWG - the only HIVE Mini on a 30A circuit. HIVE Mini 9kW: 318-530 cu ft, single 50A / 8 AWG. HIVE Mini 10.5kW: 353-706 cu ft, single 50A / 8 AWG. The 9 and 10.5 share the same electrical specification - the choice between them is purely room size. The 9 and 10.5 ranges overlap from 353 to 530 cu ft: in this overlap zone, a well-insulated standard room at the lower end may be adequately served by the 9kW; a room with cold surfaces or high-frequency use benefits from the 10.5kW's headroom. Warranty
5-year limited warranty (elements excluded)
The HUUM HIVE Mini 9STU Package is covered by HUUM's 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. Heating elements are excluded from the 5-year coverage and carry their own separate warranty period. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use of incorrect or non-approved stones, operating the heater without the required stone load, or failure to follow HUUM's installation and operating guidelines. A licensed electrician is required for all electrical connections. Do not connect to a GFI/GFCI breaker. Proof of purchase from an authorized HUUM dealer is required.
