The DROP 6kW is the mid-range model in the DROP series, stepping up from the 4.5kW for the 177-318 cu ft room range while sharing the same external body dimensions, the same 122-lb stone capacity, and the same water-droplet design language. The 6kW requires the same 30A breaker and 10 AWG wire as the DROP 4.5, making it the largest DROP output level that fits a standard 30A residential circuit.
DROP 6kW - the largest DROP on a 30A circuit
The DROP series is available in four output levels - 4.5kW, 6kW, 7.5kW, and 9kW. The 4.5kW and 6kW both run on 30A / 10 AWG circuits. The 7.5kW steps up to 40A / 8 AWG, and the 9kW requires 50A / 6 AWG. For buyers whose sauna room falls in the 177-318 cu ft range, the DROP 6kW is the correct and most electrically efficient choice - it handles rooms up to 80 cubic feet larger than the DROP 4.5 without requiring any additional electrical capacity beyond a standard 30A double-pole breaker. The UKU Extension Box is only required for HUUM heaters over 11kW and is not needed for any model in the DROP series. Upgrading to UKU WiFi at checkout adds HUUM app control on iOS and Android. Preheat on the way home, set a recurring schedule, and monitor the current temperature remotely. For a 177-318 cu ft sauna room that takes 30-45 minutes to reach temperature, the WiFi option removes the need to plan ahead at the panel - the sauna is ready when you arrive.
Rounded olivine diabase - softer steam
HUUM specifies rounded olivine diabase at 2"-4" for the DROP. Rounded stones pack more densely, allow better water flow when ladling, and produce milder, more consistent steam than angular crushed stones. Olivine diabase is thermally stable under repeated heating and water contact. The 4 boxes of correct-specification stones in this package are as important to the sauna experience as the heater itself.

The DROP 4.5kW (106-248 cu ft) and DROP 6kW (177-318 cu ft) both run on a 30A / 10 AWG circuit - the same electrical installation serves either heater. The room ranges overlap between 177 and 248 cu ft. For a room in this overlap zone, the DROP 6 provides 33% more output for the same circuit specification - which is the appropriate choice for rooms with cold surfaces such as glass walls, tile floors, or natural stone or masonry panels that increase the effective room load. For well-insulated wood-walled rooms in the 177-248 cu ft overlap, either model is appropriate; the DROP 6 provides headroom. For rooms from 249 to 318 cu ft, the DROP 6 is the correct model. All DROP models share identical body dimensions and 122-lb stone capacity. The physical size of the heater does not change between output levels. The optional HUUM safety railing is recommended for all DROP installations. The UKU Extension Box is not required for any DROP model (4.5, 6, 7.5, or 9kW).

Warranty
5-year limited warranty (elements excluded)
The HUUM DROP 6STU Package is covered by HUUM's 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. Heating elements are excluded from the 5-year coverage and carry their own separate warranty period. The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, use of incorrect or non-approved stones, operating the heater without the required stone load, or failure to follow HUUM's installation and operating guidelines. A licensed electrician is required for all electrical connections. Do not connect to a GFI/GFCI breaker. Proof of purchase from an authorized HUUM dealer is required.
