Each package includes the CORE Black heater, UKU Local Black control, and sauna stones. The CORE Black is a new kind of heater from HUUM, the Estonian sauna company behind the acclaimed DROP and CLIFF models. Where most heaters are designed to fit somewhere in the sauna room, the CORE is designed to fit anywhere: a compact 32.7"H x 15.2"W x 15.2"D square-footprint pillar with only 2 inches of safety clearance from combustible materials on all sides. It can be positioned against any wall, in any corner, or - uniquely - fully embedded lengthwise within the sauna bench so that the stone mass sits at bench level as part of the bench structure. The CORE Black Package is available in three configurations, all in the same physical heater body: 6.5kW (177-318 cu ft, 30A breaker, 10 AWG), 9kW (283-460 cu ft, 50A breaker, 8 AWG), and 10.5kW (354-566 cu ft, 50A breaker, 8 AWG). The 6.5kW version uses a lighter electrical installation than the 9kW and 10.5kW. The 9kW and 10.5kW share the same breaker and wire requirements. Since all three models are the same physical unit, HUUM recommends selecting the largest output that the electrical supply will accommodate - a larger heater heats the room faster, runs at lower duty cycle, and puts less thermal stress on the elements over time. 2-inch safety clearance - installs in tight spaces and inside the bench
The CORE Black's most operationally significant specification is its 2-inch (50mm) safety clearance from combustible materials on all sides. This is the smallest safety envelope of any heater in this catalog - the Vega Compact's 0.4-inch clearance on flat combustible surfaces aside, no floor-standing heater comes close. The compact 15.2" x 15.2" square footprint combined with only 2 inches of clearance means the CORE can be placed in sauna room positions that larger heaters physically cannot occupy. The bench integration option is the most distinctive: the CORE can be embedded lengthwise into the sauna bench - a full-depth installation where the top of the stone mass is at bench level. This turns the heater from a floor element into part of the bench structure, freeing wall and floor space and creating an integrated sauna design that no conventional wall-mounted heater can replicate.
66 lbs of stones at the same footprint across all three output levels
All three CORE Black variants hold 66 lbs (30 kg) of sauna stones (5-10 cm, 2-4"). Two boxes of HUUM stones are required and included in this package. The stone capacity is the same whether the heater is 6.5kW or 10.5kW - what changes is how quickly those stones reach operating temperature and how large a room they can heat. The HUUM manual confirms that stones should be in direct contact with the heating elements throughout the cavity, producing the even heat-up and effective loyly steam of direct rock-to-element contact. Temperature range via the UKU control is 104°F to 230°F - the highest maximum temperature of any heater in this catalog, giving the CORE a significant upper range advantage over heaters limited to 175°F or 194°F.
UKU Local Black control included - and upgradeable
The BathingBrands package includes a UKU Local Black control panel. The UKU Local is HUUM's standard touch control panel - it manages temperature, timer, and session settings from the panel directly. The UKU Local does not include WiFi; for remote preheat and HUUM app control, upgrading to the UKU WiFi control (sold separately) is required. The UKU system is modular: the same wiring and control connection is shared across the Local, WiFi, Glass, and Wood panel options, so upgrading from the included Local Black to a WiFi or Glass panel later is possible without rewiring. The UKU control supports heaters up to 9kW directly; for the 10.5kW CORE, an UKU Ext Box may be required - confirm with your HUUM dealer when ordering the 10.5kW configuration.

The UKU control allows temperature setting from 104°F to 230°F. Most heaters in this catalog are limited to 175°F or 194°F. The CORE's 230°F ceiling gives serious sauna bathers the option for Finnish-style extreme heat sessions that other heaters cannot reach.
UKU ecosystem - upgradeable control

The HUUM CORE Black is covered by a 3-year limited warranty for private (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. Heating elements are excluded from warranty coverage. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials under normal use conditions. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker, the buyer fails to follow the installation and operation manual, incorrect or insufficient stones are used, or the product is damaged by failure to follow instructions.
