The HUUM CORE Alder Package is the natural wood version of the CORE - the same stainless steel frame and full CORE performance as the Black and BK/ST, with pre-fitted alder wood side panels that ship as part of the heater. Where the CORE Black has a factory matte black metal casing and the CORE BK/ST ships bare for custom cladding, the CORE Alder arrives as a finished product with warm alder wood already in place on the sides of the frame. Alder is one of the traditional sauna woods in Nordic and Estonian sauna culture - lightweight, heat-resistant, and naturally fragrant when warmed. The panel finish combines a selected inlay finish (Black in this listing) on the metal parts with the alder wood side panels on the visible faces, producing a heater that reads as a natural wood element in any sauna interior. HUUM machines the alder panels to fit the CORE frame precisely - they snap into the stainless frame structure without adhesive and arrive pre-installed on the heater. No fabrication work is required from the installer. The alder panels cover the side faces of the heater while the stainless top rim with its inlay finish remains visible. Together they produce a heater that integrates naturally into alder, aspen, or spruce sauna interiors without the modern industrial contrast of the black model or the bare-frame appearance of the uncladded BK/ST.

The CORE Alder still requires only 2 inches from combustible materials on all sides - the most compact safety envelope of any floor-standing heater in this catalog. Full bench embedding is permitted with the alder panels in place.

6.5kW, 9kW, and 10.5kW are all the same physical frame with the same alder panels. Choose the largest output the electrical supply supports. A larger heater heats faster, runs at lower duty cycle, and stresses elements less. The alder wood exterior looks and feels identical regardless of which output is selected.

CORE Black vs BK/ST vs Alder
Choosing between the three CORE exterior finishes
All three packages include the same UKU Local Black control, sauna stones, and identical technical specifications. The CORE Black ships with a factory matte black metal casing - the contemporary, design-forward finish for modern and dark-toned sauna interiors. The CORE BK/ST ships with the stainless frame exposed for custom tile, stone, glass, or wood cladding applied by the installer. The CORE Alder ships with alder wood side panels pre-fitted - no installation work, natural warm wood finish, ideal for traditional Nordic and light wood sauna rooms. If the sauna room has light cedar, spruce, aspen, or alder surfaces, the Alder model is the natural choice. If the room has dark cedar, black hardware, or contemporary materials, the Black model is more appropriate. If the design calls for a specific custom material finish, the BK/ST is the right starting point.
A standard 2-pole breaker (30A for 6.5kW, 50A for 9kW and 10.5kW) and appropriate AWG wire are required. Do not connect to a GFI/GFCI breaker. A licensed electrician is required for all connections.

Warranty
3-year private warranty / 1-year commercial warranty (elements excluded)
The HUUM CORE Alder is covered by a 3-year limited warranty for private (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. Heating elements are excluded from warranty coverage. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials - including the alder wood panels - under normal use conditions. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker, the buyer fails to follow the installation and operation manual, incorrect or insufficient stones are used, or the product is damaged by failure to follow instructions. Proof of purchase from an authorized HUUM dealer is required for warranty claims. We are an authorized HUUM dealer.
