The Harvia The Wall SWS60 Package is the complete, ready-to-install version of Harvia's most design-forward wall-mounted heater. It includes the SWS60 heater and one box of Harvia AC3000 sauna stones. The Wall is a fundamentally different product from the KIP series: it is taller and narrower (27.5"H x 16.9"W x 10.1"D), finished in polished stainless steel, and controlled by illuminated switches at the top of the unit rather than rotary dials at the base. Where the KIP is a traditional, utilitarian wall-mounted heater, The Wall is a design statement - a slim, vertical piece that integrates into the sauna interior rather than just occupying a wall position. Harvia designed it to be installed in either left or right-handed orientation and to be integrated directly into the sauna bench if the room layout allows it.
Illuminated top-mounted controls - usable in low light
The control switches of The Wall are positioned at the top of the heater unit and are illuminated, which means they are visible and operable in a dimly lit sauna room without feeling around at the base of the heater. The controls manage on/off, timer, and temperature - the same essential functions as the KIP's dial controls but in a form that suits the sleek visual profile of The Wall. The control module can be configured on either the left or right side of the unit, giving additional flexibility for rooms where the preferred access side differs from the standard. The temperature adjustment range of the built-in controls is 121°F to 175°F.
Left or right-handed installation - and optional bench integration
The Wall can be installed in left-handed or right-handed orientation - the control panel physically swaps sides rather than simply rotating, which is a different and more considered installation flexibility than the KIP's dial repositioning. This matters in small sauna rooms where the accessible side of the heater is determined by bench placement and traffic flow. Beyond left/right orientation, The Wall can be integrated directly into the sauna bench: the heater is designed to sit partially within the bench structure with the stone mass at bench level, eliminating the heater as a floor-to-ceiling wall fixture and making it part of the bench composition. This requires planning during sauna construction and a wall rack that the heater manufacturer provides with each unit.
Superior air circulation design - more consistent room temperature
Harvia specifically engineered the internal geometry of The Wall to improve air circulation through and around the heater. Cool air enters from below the unit, passes through the stone mass and heating elements, and exits from the top and sides in a pattern that distributes heat more evenly across the sauna room volume than heaters with more enclosed designs. The practical effect is more consistent temperature from floor level to bench level in the sauna room, reducing the sharp stratification of heat that poorly positioned or enclosed heaters can create. The Wall's extra-long heating elements contribute to this by providing more contact surface with the stones and producing smoother, more gradual heat transfer into the room.
Polished stainless steel finish - the SWS60 vs the SW60
The SWS60 is the polished stainless steel version of The Wall. The SW60 is the same heater in a black steel finish. This listing is for the SWS60 stainless steel model. The stainless finish suits light wood and natural material sauna interiors where a polished reflective surface reads as a design element rather than a disruption. Both models are identical in all technical specifications - power output, room coverage, safety distances, electrical requirements, and stone capacity are the same. The choice between them is purely aesthetic.

Why The Wall SWS60 Package stands out
Polished stainless steel design
The SWS60 is The Wall in its polished stainless finish. Taller and narrower than a KIP heater at 27.5"H x 16.9"W x 10.1"D, it reads as a deliberate design element in a sauna interior rather than a utilitarian wall fixture. The slim vertical profile takes up less visual space than a wider heater of the same output.
Illuminated top controls - usable in low light
The control switches sit at the top of the unit and are illuminated - visible in a candlelit or dimly lit sauna without searching at the base of the heater. The module configures to either the left or right side at installation, not just rotated - a more considered flexibility for rooms where the accessible side matters.
Bench integration option
The Wall can be installed partially within the sauna bench rather than solely on the wall, positioning the stone mass at bench level. This eliminates the heater as a separate vertical wall element and integrates it into the bench composition. Requires planning during sauna construction and uses the included mounting rack.
Superior air circulation
The Wall's internal geometry directs cool air in from below the unit, through the stone mass and extra-long heating elements, and out from the top and sides. This produces more even temperature distribution across the full room height than enclosed heater designs - reducing the heat stratification between floor level and bench level that undermines comfort in poorly circulating saunas.
IPX4 wet area rated
Rated for splashwater from any direction. The Wall is approved for wet area installation and fully handles the steam, condensation, and direct water splash of regular sauna use. The 3" safety clearance from combustible materials on all sides is compact and keeps installation close to the wall structure.
Complete package - stones included
This listing includes the heater, 1 box of Harvia AC3000 stones, mounting rack, fastening kit, and manual. Everything needed for installation arrives together. The only additional requirement is the electrical connection by a licensed electrician: 240V/1-phase, 30A breaker, 10 AWG wire.
About Harvia
Made in Finland - 75 years
The Wall. A Harvia heater designed as much for the sauna interior as for the heat it produces.
Harvia has been making sauna heaters in Finland since 1950. The Wall represents the company's answer to a question that a growing number of sauna builders ask: can the heater itself be part of the design rather than just a functional requirement? The slim vertical profile, polished stainless finish, illuminated top controls, left/right installation flexibility, and bench integration option are all specific design decisions made in service of that question. The technical performance - 6kW, IPX4, ETL certified, extra-long elements, superior air circulation - is Harvia standard. The form is something different from the rest of the KIP and Virta range.

The Wall vs KIP - which is right?
The Wall SWS60 vs KIP60B - same output, different proposition
Both the The Wall SWS60 and the KIP60B deliver 6kW on a 240V/1-phase circuit with built-in controls and no external unit required. The KIP60B covers rooms from 170 to 300 cubic feet and is the utilitarian choice: proven, compact, dial-controlled, and straightforward to install anywhere. The Wall SWS60 covers rooms from 141 to 282 cubic feet and is the design-led choice: taller, slimmer, illuminated controls, left/right installation flexibility, bench integration option, and a polished stainless finish that contributes to the sauna aesthetic rather than sitting apart from it. Neither is a better heater in technical terms - they are different products for different priorities.
A standard 2-pole 30A breaker and 10 AWG wire are required for The Wall SWS60. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used - other stone types or insufficient quantity void the warranty. The mounting rack included with the heater must be used: it sets the minimum floor safety distance of 9.8 inches, which is a required safety clearance that cannot be achieved by direct wall mounting without the rack.

Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia The Wall SWS60 is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials including heating elements, controls, and all internal components. Heating elements are serviceable and replacements are available. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole breaker required), incorrect or insufficient stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), essential oils are poured directly on stones or elements, or the heater is improperly installed. The required mounting rack must be used to ensure the correct floor safety distance. Proof of purchase from an authorized Harvia dealer is required. We are an authorized Harvia dealer.
