The Harvia KIP80B Package is the complete, ready-to-install wall-mounted sauna heater for home saunas from 250 to 425 cubic feet. It includes the KIP80B 8kW heater and one box of Harvia AC3000 sauna stones. The KIP80B is the top model of the KIP built-in-control range, delivering the output needed to bring large home sauna rooms to temperature efficiently - the kind of room that seats four to six people comfortably, or any room at the upper end of the residential size range. Like the rest of the KIP series, it runs entirely on its own built-in dial controls with no external unit needed. The larger electrical requirement steps up to a 40A breaker and 8 AWG wire, which is the standard requirement for an 8kW residential sauna heater and straightforward to accommodate in any modern residential panel.
8kW for large home sauna rooms up to 425 cubic feet
The KIP80B covers the upper range of home sauna sizes: rooms from 250 to 425 cubic feet. At the lower end of that range, a well-insulated 3 to 4-person cedar sauna room is a good fit. At the upper end, a large 5 to 6-person room with higher ceilings, or a room with significant cold surfaces such as tile floors and glass panels that push the adjusted cubic foot calculation well above the nominal volume, is where the KIP80B earns its place. The 8kW output on a 40A circuit ensures the room reaches the target temperature reliably and holds it without the heater working at continuous full load. For rooms in this size bracket, the KIP60B would be undersized and the only sensible choice in the KIP built-in-control range is the 80B.
Built-in controls - complete operation from two dials at the heater base
The KIP80B uses the same proven built-in control system shared across the entire KIP range. Two rotary dials are mounted at the base of the heater: the left dial sets the thermostat temperature, the right dial manages the timer. The heater can be started immediately for any duration up to 60 minutes, or set for a delayed start up to 8 hours in advance - so the sauna is at temperature before the session begins. Auto shutoff activates at the end of the timer cycle. The control panel is installed facing the front by default and can be repositioned to face the right side, useful where front access to the controls is obstructed by the room layout or a corner installation. No external control unit is needed or compatible with this heater.
Dual-wall stainless steel - mounts directly to wood walls
The outer casing of the KIP80B is dual-wall stainless steel construction: an air gap between the inner heating chamber and the polished outer surface keeps the exterior cool to the touch during operation. This is the design feature that allows the heater to mount directly onto a wooden sauna wall without any protective backing panel or heat shield required behind it. The stainless steel finish is corrosion-resistant and built for the permanent heat and moisture environment of a sauna room. A protective stone grill covers the open stone cavity, providing a safety barrier and preventing stones from falling from the heater.
Direct rock-to-element contact - efficient heat, effective loyly
Stones in the KIP80B sit in direct contact with the heating elements across the full cavity. Heat transfers from element to stone without an intermediate air gap, producing even stone temperatures throughout and fast heat-up for the room volume. When water is poured for loyly steam, the direct contact surface area produces immediate, consistent steam from the first ladle. One box of Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) is included in this package and meets the stone requirement for the KIP80B's 44-lb stone capacity.

Why the KIP80B Package stands out
8kW for rooms up to 425 cu ft
The top output model in the KIP built-in-control range. Covers large home sauna rooms from 250 to 425 cubic feet - 4 to 6-person rooms, high-ceiling rooms, and rooms with tile, glass, or concrete surfaces that push the adjusted cubic foot calculation significantly above the nominal room volume. The only KIP-range choice for rooms of this size.
Complete package - stones included
This listing includes the heater and one box of Harvia AC3000 sauna stones. Everything needed for installation arrives together: heater, stones, mounting bracket, stone guard, and manual. The only additional requirement is the electrical connection by a licensed electrician.
Built-in controls - nothing else to buy
Two rotary dials at the base of the heater are the complete control system. Set the thermostat with the left dial, set the timer or delay with the right. No external control unit, no data cable, no app, no WiFi. Simple, reliable operation for the largest room size in the KIP range.
8-hour delay start
The right dial can be set for a delayed start up to 8 hours in advance. For a large room that takes longer to reach temperature, programming the heater to start well before the session ensures the full room volume is at temperature when needed. Auto shutoff after 60 minutes of operation.
Dual-wall - mounts to wood without a heat shield
The air gap between the inner heating chamber and the outer stainless steel surface keeps the exterior cool to the touch during operation. The KIP80B can be mounted directly on a wood sauna wall without a separate protective back panel or heat shield, regardless of the 8kW output level.
UL Listed - 40A / 8 AWG installation
UL Listed certification. 240V/1-phase on a 40A breaker with 8 AWG wire. No GFI/GFCI breaker - standard 2-pole required. A licensed electrician is required for all connections. The 40A/8 AWG requirement is standard for an 8kW residential sauna heater and is a routine addition to any modern residential electrical panel.
About Harvia
Made in Finland - 75 years
The KIP80B. The top of the KIP range for large home saunas.
Harvia has been making sauna heaters in Finland since 1950. The KIP80B is the highest-output model in the KIP built-in-control series. Same proven dual-wall stainless steel construction, same built-in dial controls, same direct rock-to-element design as the rest of the range - but with the 8kW output and 40A electrical specification that large home sauna rooms require. For anyone building or upgrading a sauna room above 250 cubic feet who wants the simplicity of built-in controls and a complete package that includes the stones, the KIP80B is the right choice.

Which KIP is right for your room?
KIP45B, KIP60B, or KIP80B - choosing by room size
All three models share the same form factor, dual-wall construction, and built-in dial control system. The difference is output and the room size it can serve. KIP45B (4.5kW): rooms up to 211 cubic feet - compact 2-person rooms and small home saunas. KIP60B (6kW): rooms from 170 to 300 cubic feet - standard 3 to 4-person home sauna rooms. KIP80B (8kW): rooms from 250 to 425 cubic feet - large 4 to 6-person rooms and any room where tile, glass, or concrete walls substantially increase the adjusted room volume calculation. Choosing the wrong size means the heater either cannot reach temperature efficiently (undersized) or heats unevenly at low load (significantly oversized). Harvia provides a sauna size calculator at harvia.com to help verify the adjusted cubic footage before purchase.
A standard 2-pole 40A breaker and 8 AWG wire are required for the KIP80B. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used - other stone types or insufficient quantity will void the warranty. Only Harvia essential oils, properly diluted in water, may be used for loyly - do not pour oils directly on the stones or elements.

Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia KIP80B is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials including heating elements, thermostat, and all internal components. Heating elements are serviceable and replacements are available. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole breaker required), incorrect or insufficient stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), essential oils are poured directly on stones or elements, or the heater is improperly installed. Proof of purchase from an authorized Harvia dealer is required. We are an authorized Harvia dealer.
