The KIP80B is the highest-output model in the KIP built-in-control black series, engineered for home sauna rooms from 250 to 425 cubic feet. It uses the same proven dual-wall black steel construction as the rest of the KIP range: the air gap between the inner heating chamber and the outer surface keeps the exterior cool to the touch and allows direct mounting on a wooden sauna wall without a protective backing panel. The built-in control panel at the base of the heater manages temperature and timing with no external unit needed.

The KIP80B covers rooms from 250 to 425 cubic feet - the largest room range in the KIP built-in-control black series. This is the range of large 4 to 6-person home sauna rooms and rooms with significant cold surface additions that push the adjusted cubic foot calculation substantially above the nominal volume. At 8kW on a 40A circuit it holds these rooms at temperature efficiently without running at continuous full load. The built-in controls make the KIP80B a self-contained system once stones are loaded and the electrical connection is made: no external control panel, no data cable, no WiFi setup. Two dials at the base of the heater handle all operation - the left for temperature, the right for timing and on/off.
Dual-wall black steel - cool exterior, mounts directly to wood
The dual-wall construction of the KIP80B keeps the black steel outer surface cool to the touch during operation - the defining safety feature that allows the heater to mount directly on a wooden sauna wall without any protective heat shield required behind it. The stone cavity holds 44 lbs of AC3000 stones (1 box required, sold separately) in direct contact with the heating elements throughout the cavity. Direct rock-to-element contact produces even heat distribution through the stone mass and the sharp, immediate loyly steam that contact between heated stones and water produces. A protective stone guard is included.
Built-in controls at the base - 60-minute timer, 8-hour delay
The control panel is built into the base of the KIP80B heater body. The left dial sets the thermostat temperature. The right dial turns the heater on for any duration up to 60 minutes, or sets a delayed start up to 8 hours in advance so the sauna is at temperature before the session begins. Auto shutoff activates at the end of the timer cycle. The control panel can be repositioned from the default front-facing orientation to the right side - useful for corner installations where front access is limited. No external control unit is needed or compatible with this heater.

This listing is for the KIP80B heater only - stones are sold separately and required before first use. If buying the heater and stones together as a complete ready-to-install purchase is preferred, the KIP80B PKG listing includes 1 box of Harvia AC3000 stones with the heater. Both contain the same KIP80B heater. The choice between them is simply whether stones are purchased here or separately. For buyers who already have stones on hand or who prefer to purchase components individually, the standalone KIP80B heater is the appropriate listing.
A standard 2-pole 40A breaker and 8 AWG wire are required. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used - 1 box minimum required. Elements are consumable parts and are covered on first use only under the warranty. Do not pour essential oils directly onto stones or elements.

Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia KIP80B is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers defects in manufacturing and materials including heating elements, controls, and contactors. Heating elements are covered on first use only and are thereafter considered consumable parts. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole required), incorrect or insufficient stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), essential oils are poured directly on stones or elements, or the heater is improperly installed.
