The KIP60W uses the same dual-wall stainless steel construction as the entire KIP series. The air gap between the inner heating chamber and the outer polished surface keeps the exterior surface cool during operation - the feature that makes direct wood wall mounting safe without any protective backing panel. The stone cavity holds 44 lbs of AC3000 stones in direct contact with the heating elements, producing even heat-up and effective loyly steam from the first ladle of water poured. A protective stone guard is included. The Xenio WiFi control connects to the heater through the front panel via the included wiring harness and installs on any convenient wall in or outside the sauna room.

KIP60W vs KIP60B - which is right?
KIP60W PKG vs KIP60B PKG - same heater, different control and finish
Both packages deliver 6kW on a 240V/30A circuit and cover 170-300 cu ft. The KIP60B PKG is black steel with built-in dial controls - no external unit, no WiFi, no app. The KIP60W PKG is polished stainless with an external Xenio WiFi control - full digital temperature control, remote preheat, and smart home integration. The KIP60B is the right choice when simplicity and lower initial cost are the priority. The KIP60W is the right choice when polished stainless aesthetics and digital WiFi control capability are both wanted.
A standard 2-pole 30A breaker and 10 AWG wire are required for both. Do not connect to a GFI or GFCI breaker. Only Harvia AC3000 stones (5-10 cm) should be used. The Xenio WiFi control installs in a dry area; the heater mounts on the wall inside the sauna.

Warranty
2-year consumer warranty / 1-year commercial warranty
The Harvia KIP60W is covered by a 2-year limited warranty for consumer (residential) use and a 1-year limited warranty for commercial use from the date of purchase. The warranty covers the heater and all included components - heating elements, Xenio WiFi control, and stones - against defects in manufacturing and materials. Heating elements are covered on first use only and are thereafter considered consumable parts. The warranty is void if: the heater is connected to a GFI/GFCI breaker (standard 2-pole required), incorrect or insufficient stones are used (must be Harvia AC3000, 5-10 cm), essential oils are poured directly on stones or elements, or the heater is improperly installed.
