It prevents moisture from interacting with the skin as perspiration and other fluids vacate through the mattress cover's surface, working to prevent additional health issues from occurring such as bedsores that can cause discomfort and infections.
Under the cover layer of the mattress, vapor flows out thanks to the Low Air Loss (LAL) feature that lowers humidity levels beneath the patient, while transferring away heat and moisture at the same time. This makes it the ideal product for anyone who suffers from limited mobility, obesity, incontinence, or other serious health complications.
The ObboMed 2600 model includes many updated features that make it one of the most highly advanced LAL mattresses available. The system will automatically default to alternating mode after maximum inflate or 1-hour in static mode. This is to help avoid any negligence to change settings that may occur.
Another upgrade for this mattress is the 13 high side bolster that prevents the user from falling off the mattress. Along with these useful benefits, the 2600 mattress also has other standard ObboMed features such as 24-hour power outage protection, a sinking feature to enhance protection and ease of access by the side bolsters, and fowler/seating support. This mattress has a total weight capacity of 450 lbs. And like other ObboMed products, this LAL therapy mattress is latex, lead, and mercury-free.
